The off season business side of the Packers came to an end tonight when the team and their first round draft choice Datone Jones agreed on a multi year deal.

The deal, as reported by Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, is for four years, $7.71 million, with $6.25 million guaranteed.

Jones was selected in the first round out of UCLA with the 26th pick in April’s draft. He is expected to make an immediate impact on the defense, joining a defensive line rotation which includes BJ Raji, Ryan Pickett, Johnny Jolly, CJ Wilson, and Mike Neal among others.

Jones’ signing coincides with his celebrating his 23rd birthday today.

With all of their draft picks signed, it is time for the 2013 Green Bay Packers to get to work.
