Since winning the Super Bowl in 2010, the Green Bay Packers have been one of the top contenders in the NFC. Since that time, the Packers have come close to playing in the Super Bowl again, but they were unable to get past the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons.

Heading into the 2017 season, the Packers are still considered contenders, but with the emergence of the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys, some are starting to believe Green Bay’s window to win another title is closing.

The Packers seemed destined to win a few Super Bowls with Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback, but fell short in the playoffs. Over the years, their problems have either been defensive or lack of a balanced offense, which puts more pressure on Rodgers to try to win the game.

After their Super Bowl win, the Packers finished an NFL best 15-a, and looked ready to repeat as champions. However, the team was defeated by the New York Giants, who went on to defeat the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl.

A lot of NFL fans and experts believe that team had the best chance of winning the Packers a second ring with Rodgers at the helm.

The next year, the Packers were eliminated by the 49ers, who were led by Colin Kaepernick, who set an NFL record for rushing yards against the Packers. Like the Giants in the previous year, the 49ers went on to play in the Super Bowl, losing to the Baltimore Ravens.

In 2013, the Packers once again lost to the 49ers in the Divisional round of the playoffs. A year later, they made it to the NFC Championship game and were a few seconds away from a Super Bowl trip before fumbling the ball on an onside kick, allowing Seattle to make it back to the Super Bowl for the second consecutive season.

After losing to the Arizona Cardinals in the Divisional round of the 2015 playoffs without leading receiver Jordy Nelson, who missed the entire season with an injury, Green Bay made it back to the NFC Championship game in 2016, only to lose to the Atlanta Falcons, who lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

This year, the Packers are hoping they will have what it takes to get back to the Super Bowl. Their offense, which was stagnant through the first half of the season, started clicking in the second half, reminding everyone just how good they are when Rodgers has his weapons and some time to throw.

The team’s running game, which has been a problem for them in recent years, is still a question mark going into the season, especially after getting rid of Eddie lacy in the offseason.

The Packers tried to address some of their defensive issues as well during the offseason, especially after getting torched by Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense in the playoffs. Green Bay brought in some talented players through the draft and free agency, and it will be interesting to see how well they play once the season starts.

With quarterback Aaron Rodgers turning 34 this year, the Packers need to take advantage of the few good years he has left by putting the right weapons around him to help get them over the hump.

“With Green Bay at +800 in the online sportsbetting odds to win Super Bowl LII, they should be a favorite to do just that.” said line manager at MyBookie Online Sportsbook, David Strauss.
