After the running backs, offensive linemen, and special teamers completed day one of the NFL combine, the quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends are set to take the stage this morning.

The Packers are unlikely to select a QB early, so look for some mid to late round quarterbacks like Gardner Minshew or Easton Stick. The Packers kept three quarterbacks on the active roster last year and all three are likely to be back.

Wide receivers are a lot more interesting when it comes to the Packers needs. Green Bay lacks a true #2 receiver as well as a slot receiver after Randall Cobb is set to hit free agency. One player in particular that you should pay attention to in Ole’ Miss’ D.K. Metcalf who went viral after a picture was take of him where he looked more like an edge rusher than a receiver. It will be interesting to see how Metcalf tests after putting up 27 reps in the bench press yesterday. Other than Metcalf, Gutekunst and the Packers should consider any of the receivers in the draft.

The tight end group met with the media today and most of them confirmed that the Packers have been in touch. This should not come as a surprise since LaFleur is likely to use the position extensively and the Packers have had trouble with signing free agents at the position in the past. This is another position where it is important to watch every player. LaFleur plans to run the ball a lot, so they will likely want a dual threat tight end.
