The ball should be spread around nicely and other targets will need to be ready. Geronimo Allison has quietly put together a solid quarter-year. Number 81 looks fresh, and as bouncy as ever, soaring through the air to make some fantastic catches over the past few weeks. Jimmy Graham should see extended use. Can he finally become the red-zone stiletto that was promised? And don’t forget about number 16. The flowing locks of Jake Kumerow will be waving all over Cowboys defensive backs on Sunday afternoon. Look for at least one Kumerow shining moment.
The Packers best chance at success is looking to establish the ground game through third year back Aaron Jones. Jones and the entire rushing attack struggled mightily versus Philadelphia, and will need to get back on track in Dallas. A balanced Packers offense is integral to success against Dallas. Look for rookie Dexter Williams to make his first appearance after Jamaal Williams scary head injury against the Eagles. Dexter is a perfect fit in the new outside zone scheme, and will have an immediate impact on Sunday. He could easily be the spark-plug that drives the Packers towards a momentous victory.
Ultimately, this game will come down to Aaron Rodgers ability to dissect Kris Richard’s straightforward defense. Richard, along with veteran defensive line coach Rod Marinelli employ a dangerous pass-rushing group. However, the back end has time and time again been unable to guard the Packers receivers and shut down the passing attack. Without Davante Adams, the Cowboys will be unable to key on any one weapon.
