For all the Rodger’s Haters

I ask one question of all the Rodger’s haters, what has he done that was so bad for you all to hate him so much?

Let’s see, over the years, he’s played with a broken ankle, a concussion (till they took his helmet), a scramble calf muscle, came back from two broken collar bones, and a cracked bone in his leg. He’s carried this team on many an occasion, with little or no talent surrounding him. [The same was done to Favre, concerning talent]. Rodgers is respected by his teammates, regardless of rogue reporting and disenchanted ex-Packers. Players throughout Rodgers’ career have lined up one after another and spoke of his leadership and love for the Packers. His family matters aside, which none of us are privy, have nothing to do with his performance on the field.

Let’s take a deep dive into Aaron Rodgers’ stats, first for 2019. Packers: #2 in the NFL in scoring (32.5), #4 in YPP (6.47), #6 in YPG (409.3). Aaron 2019 specific: CP (65.7%), Total YDs (2,324), YPC (8.2), YPG (296), TDs (16), INT (2), QBR Last two games (129.0). Aaron for his career: CP (64.8%), Total YDs (45,268), YPC (7.8), YPG (261.7), TDs (354), INT (82), QBR (103.3). Typically per game this season he is targeting 8-10 different receivers each game and his top receiver is a RB. This is partly due to necessity with Davante Adams being out, but also by design (Matt LaFleur’s offensive scheme). When I look at these numbers, they are staggering, a first ballot HOF lock. What is there not to like, I have no idea.

Why don’t we just all get behind our quarterback and enjoy watching him lead our Packers. I usually attend four games per year and I have witnessed some outstanding performances by Aaron, too many to name. A couple in particular were the comeback vs the Bears last season (Rodgers running out of the tunnel in the 3rd quarter) and the Giants playoff game in 2017. The Hail Mary to Cobb was a beauty! I actually was able to be on the sidelines during the pre-game. All I can say is wow, what an experience.

This week the Packers travel to Lambeau West (so I’ve heard) to face the Los Angeles Chargers. Philip Rivers still has game and plenty of weapons, Pack can’t take them lightly. I still believe Packers continue the streak and win convincingly 34-17.

As Always, Go Pack Go
