This past Sunday was the NFL Pro Bowl game in Orlando, Florida. This is typically a game that is hard for players and fans to get motivated for and give a 100% in. But on Sunday, two Packers brought their “A” game.

A day that was overshadowed by the sudden news about Kobe, even Za’Darius Smith gathered his defensive teammates together after a play to honor Kobe, the Packers stood out amongst the stars.

Initially, Davante Adams and Za’Darius Smith were not on the Pro Bowl as they were snubbed. So, they probably had a little more motivation than most players to do well in the game so show they belong. We knew they belonged in the game, and they made sure the rest of the NFL world did too.

On an extremely sad sports day, Adams caught 6 passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. And when he scored, he held up a two and a four for Kobe and did a 360 dunk over the goal post.

Za’Darius Smith on the other hand, was the leader of the defense just like he was all season for the Packers. He had 2 sacks and an interception. He was flying all over and making an impact on the game. After one of his sacks, is when he gathered some of his defensive teammates together and paid tribute to Kobe but doing a shot fake and then pretending he was shooting a basketball.

Davante even showed off his quarterback skills by throwing a 30-yard pass to Kenny Golladay. You know, head coach Matt Lafluer was watching his players in the game, maybe he took some notes on Adams throwing ability and we will see a trick play called at some point next season. Adams throws to Rodgers for the touchdown, would be pretty cool.

All in all the Pro Bowl is a fun game with not much on the line, where the best of the best get together and put on a fun show for the fans. On Sunday, a day were the sports world was shaken, two Packers players stood out to help honor a sports legend.
