At 6-2 the Packers are atop the NFC North Standings. After a win against the battered 49ers, the Packers face another opponent on the down and outs — the 1-7 Jaguars. The Packers can only play the competition who is in front of them, and this isn’t the NCAA, so style points do not matter.

But if the Packers want to be considered in the Super Bowl conversation, they will have to put forth another convincing performance on Sunday. Here are three mismatches that the Packers can exploit to make quick work of the Jaguars.

Smith Bros vs Jawaan Taylor

To say Jawaan Taylor, the Jaguars 2019 2nd-round pick, has struggled in 2020 would be an understatement. Taylor has allowed a season high 32 pressures while manning the blind side for Gardner Minshew — and now Jake Luton. Za’Darius and Preston Smith should be choppin’ at the bit to line up across from Taylor.

The offensive line as a whole has done a poor job protecting their QBs — 25 sacks allowed through eight games. This is the perfect game for this pass rush to stockpile some good reps and dominate the lowly 1-7 Jaguars.

Aaron Jones vs Myles Jack/Joe Schobert

Myles Jack and Joe Schobert are more than adequate middle linebackers in the NFL. But if one thing jumps off the screen while watching the Jaguars play, it is their lack of tackling discipline. Who can blame them? At 1-7, no one is going to risk serious injury to make a tackle in the trenches. The Packers need to take advantage of this and send the battering ram that is Aaron Jones through the middle time after time. Jones needs to make up for the games missed due to a calf injury, so expect him to find the shades multiple times on Sunday.

Davante Adams vs CJ Henderson

Davante Adams has been scalding hot all season, and the next cornerback lucky enough to line up across from him is the rookie out of Florida, CJ Henderson. The ninth overall pick has a bright future ahead of him, but before he can succeed, he is going to have to learn a few lessons from Adams.
