The Green Bay Packers have had an interesting offseason thus far and their roster has shaped out very interestingly. With voluntary OTAs underway many young players will take their first opportunity to show out and stand out and make great first impressions on the field.

Some players have already garnered more attention earlier in the offseason while other players will need to step up and show they’re the guy.

Jordan Love

This is the most obvious player that people will be looking out for. Jordan Love is set to take over as the starting quarterback next season which means he gets an entire offseason as QB1. You’d be lying if you said there wasn’t any pressure on Love coming into this season.

The Packers are moving on from a hall of fame quarterback and a season that ended without a playoff appearance. Love has reportedly had some ups and downs in 11-on-11 drills and some things to clean up. He will be the guy everyone has their eyes on and tasked as the man in charge now.

AJ Dillon

An interesting one here, AJ Dillon is someone who’s had a great impact in Green Bay’s backfield and is entering his contract year. Despite his success with the Packers, it looks like they’re asking and challenging him to take that extra leap this upcoming season alongside running mate Aaron Jones.

It’ll be interesting to see how Dillon will be used as he’s typically the team’s power back but they may be looking for him to take an increased receiving role. This offseason provides an opportunity to see what packages Dillon will be most efficient in with Love at the helm.

Luke Musgrave/Tucker Kraft

The two rookie tight ends are definitely players to look out for this offseason. They’re both high mid-round selections meaning they both have expectations to make an early impact. As they’re both set to compete for the starting spot, it’ll be something to keep an eye out for early on.

Josiah Deguara is in the mix as well but drafting two tight ends fairly high doesn’t bode well for him as Musgrave and Kraft will have a chance to compete. Musgrave was a second round selection giving him the early upper hand over Kraft, a third round pick.

Lukas Van Ness

Being a first round pick means there will already be lots of attention on you. Lukas Van Ness was also taken at a premium position and will garner lots of attention throughout the offseason. He projects to slide into the rotation to start off but with Rashan Gary‘s injury he may see more snaps early on.

Van Ness seemed like a bit of a project pick with lots of potential and upside but he is definitely someone to keep an eye on this offseason.
