I’ve been eyeing the Green Bay Packers Women’s Nike Free TR8s sneakers since they came out.

They’re currently about 30% off original retail, on clearance together with the men’s Packers Nike Air Max Typha 2 Trainers.

The Green Bay Packer logo is on each shoe, so of course, I love, but the all-white primary color is factoring in the decision. Just not enough flair for me.

And if you think the fact that I already own a pair of Green Bay Packers sneakers should play a part in my decision-making, it doesn’t. The ones I have were a cheaper impulse buy via an add on Facebook and just aren’t that cool.

They were cool enough for this Instagram post though.

I got a few likes. #envywear #instashoes

This time, if I’m spending the money, I’m doing the research.

Buried on page 5 of 6 of the Green Bay Packer-themed swag, via sportsfanstudio.com, I found the Nike Roshe One Custom ‘Green Bay’ editions. Not bad, but out of my price range. I had to think about it and search the web for more options.

What I found on the web is we indeed have some talented sneakerheads in our Packers family.

Check out the custom Green Bay Packer Nikes and Vans featured on PaintOrThread.com in an article published there on the day of Super Bowl XLV. (a)

Get this; the website even provides information on how to customize your shoes!

I very much enjoyed the Green Bay sneakers and I’m sure the one of a kind customs featured on PaintOrThread back in 2011 are long sold.

Sold out, just like the Green Bay Packers Nike Air Max 90 Premiums from 2012.

The NFC North quartet of sneakers was released on the same day in April 2012 (b), and I can’t seem to find the Green Bay Packer ones anymore……

I guess the moral of this story is, life is short, buy the shoes.

Or in my case, buy the shoes plus some green and yellow shoelaces for added flair.

A 13x World Champion vibe always, part Nike’s 2018 Doernbecher collection, 12-year-old Joey Bates worked alongside Nike designers as part of the Doernbecher Freestyle program to design his own Nike shoe and took the opportunity to showcase his love for both the green and gold and his favorite player. “52” appears on the outsole. The Nike SB Dunk Pro Low Doernbechers sold out almost immediately following the release date of December 14, 2018, at the original price point of $90.00, but I see them on secondary sources for a cool $200.00.

The Doernbecher Freestyle program has raised nearly $20 million for Portland’s OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital over the past 15 years and has earned a following in the sneaker community. (d)

How awesome of Joey to feature the best franchise in professional sports in his design.
