Green Bay Packers: Signings

Big day today!

What options will be exercised? Which qualifying offers will be submitted? What contracts will expire? Which exclusive negotiating rights will be retained on players with expiring 2018 contracts who have fewer than three accrued seasons of free agency credit? (a)

Lots of paperwork, I hear the Green Bay Packers need at least four new green and gold pens available in the next three hours. Welcome to Green Bay!

I don’t have any hot takes or direct sources to report more of who the Green Bay Packers are expected to sign when free agency officially begins at 3:00 p.m. CST time today. But, continue reading for dates to keep in mind for April 2019 scheduled autograph signings, what current player signed for me in the past week, and what I’ve been reading online about the greatest free-agent signing of all time.

The 14th annual ‘Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour’ will make stops in Marshfield, Sparta, New Richmond, Chippewa Falls, and Antigo, WI, April 9th through 13th. Packers alumni Nick Barnett, Earl Dotson, Ryan Grant, Bernardo Harris, Aaron Kampman, and Scott Wells will participate in question-and-answer sessions and sign autographs. Tickets are on sale now with 100% of the proceeds benefiting a local nonprofit.

It was awesome to visit with Dean Lowry last Thursday at the Journal Sentinel Sports Show. I got two photos signed, with inscriptions, one for myself and one for my Dad.  Dean even took the time to write on each “Go Pack Go!” Notice the exclamation point!?!?

Boy, am I pumped about the 2019 Green Bay Packers defense!!

A 13x World Champion vibe always, as free agency begins we have to remember Reggie White and April 6, 1993, which according to nfl.com, is the date of “the most significant free-agent signing in NFL history.” (b)

I was too young to appreciate it at the time for how big it was but have chosen recently to read all about it.

Today, in between refreshing twitter, and after you’ve read all the articles on this website, checkout ‘How Reggie White Made Green Bay Cool’ via www.si.com and ‘Twenty-five years later, Packers still reaping the ripple benefits of signing Reggie White’ via www.jsonline.com.
