The 5-1 Green Bay Packers will face the 3-2 Oakland Raiders this Sunday at Lambeau with much less than “All Hands on Deck! Raiders Coach John Gruden has had over a week to prepare for this game because the Raiders are coming off their Bye Week. The Lions came into the Packer MNF game after their Bye Week and started the game some innovated plays. Let’s hope the Raiders don’t have gimmick plays up their sleeve. I will be in attendance this Sunday, I’m 1-0 so far and I want to keep my streak going!

Last week we got Jamal Williams back but lost Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Geronimo Allison, Darnell Savage. In addition Davante Adams is still out, Robert Tonyan is doubtful, Tony Brown and Kenny Clark are questionable. If Valdes-Scantling is truly out, the WR group (pictured above) will be Allen Lazard Jake Kumerow, Darrius Shepherd and recently acquired Ryan Grant (not that Ryan Grant). In an earlier article I expressed concern about our WR Corps. Before J’mon Moore was cut, I called this group Davante Adams, Mo, Larry, Curly and Shemp. Now Davante has been out for the last two weeks.

On the bright side Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones, Jimmy Graham, Za’Darius Smith, Oren Burks Bryan Bulaga, Kevin King, Tramon Williams, and Will Redmond all came OFF the injury report! Three cheers for that! This season eerily reminds me of 2010-2011 with all the injuries and fluid roster. We all remember what happened then! My fingers are crossed, but I won’t speak the words till we hit 10 wins!

I think the Raiders will see a heavy dose of Jones/Williams, who had back to back 100 yard games between them. The Packers will also need to keep the miscues to the minimum or nil to win this contest. If Alan Lazard, Jake Kumerow and Darrius Shepherd can recreate their Pre-Season form, Aaron Rodgers could conjure up some magic once again. A stiff performance from the defense would go a long way, so lets hope Mike Pettine has a great game planned. When the dust settles I see this contest going to the home team 24-17 or thereabouts, leaving the Packers at 6-1. “Who woulda thunk it!”

As Always, Go Pack Go!
