Football season is fast-approaching.

Although it doesn’t feel like it’s been that long since the Green Bay Packers dropped a heartbreaking loss to the soon-to-be Super Bowl champion Buccaneers, training camp for the upcoming season is just under a month away.

The Packers will report on July 27 for the month-long player adventure that is learning the playbook, getting back into shape and prepping for a long season.

The beginning of the NFL season is always one of my favorite parts of the year for many reasons.

I get excited about all the potential breakout players and storylines, while also gaining confidence for the upcoming season, the more that I divulge into camp.

I, for one, am ready to start fully immersing myself in all the beat reporter tweets, practice highlights and pictures from Packers camp.

There’s many storylines to watch.

The big one, of course, is will the reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers be there come the start of camp? I’ve written in the past that if I were a betting man, I would bet he’s there.

Regardless of if he’s there or not, Rodgers will be the focal point of attention for national sports media.

However, if you’re a true Packers fan, you’ll know there’s plenty of other exciting things to watch for.

How will the tandem of AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones work together? Which rookie or undrafted free agent makes a splash? What will the starting offensive line look like? Will Joe Barry’s defense be better than Mike Pettine’s?

I could go on and on with things that I’m excited to watch for.

All I know is that a month from now, the Green Bay Packers will be preparing for the 2021-22 NFL season.

Cheers to that, Cheeseheads.
