Few teams have enjoyed the level of divisional dominance the Green Bay Packers have had in recent years in the NFC North.
Although their Super Bowl hopes disappeared rather quickly in the end of season play-offs thi9s year, they were far too good for their rivals in the NFC North.
With 13 wins from their 17 regular season fixtures, the Packers looked to be a good value throughout the campaign and although change could be on the cards with the future of Aaron Rodgers seemingly uncertain, they are a side that look well placed to challenge again next term. The famous quarterback also is a big fan of horse racing, who repeatedly places huge bets on horses.
Going on and winning the NFC Championship is another accolade that has eluded them in recent times, with their only two titles coming in 1997 and 2010.
Regardless of how the Green Bay Packers lineup in 2023, they will once again be serious contenders to go all the way and clinch the NFC North title.
They had way too much in the tank for the likes of the Minnesota Vikings, the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions, cruising to yet another regional divisional title last term and they once again look the side to beat next season.
Integral to their success last term was their impeccable home record of 8 wins from 8 games played, with the iconic Lambeau Field being the fortress it has so often been over the years.
That will once again play into their hands next season, as will another year’s worth of experience in Matt LaFleur’s relatively youthful side and they should be a formidable side both regionally and nationally next season.
The enigmatic LaFleur will be hoping to get the best out of his side once more in 2022/23 and the Green Bay Packers are -350 to win the NFC North title next season.
Despite not making it through to the end of season play-offs, it was a solid season for the Minnesota Vikings, who finished within touching distance of the Green Bay Packers at the end of the campaign.
Kevin O’Connell is rumoured to be the man ready to step into the head coach void next season and a freshen up of things within the Vikings camp could yield improved returns.
Experience and quality aren’t lacking within the Vikings camp, with Kirk Cousins one of the very best quarterbacks in the business and he will be out to put in some big performances next term.
At +400 they are very much second favourites to the Packers to win the NFC North title in 2023 but should they find momentum, they could be a tough side to stop.
The Chicago Bears are a side that have had their struggles in recent years and the 2021/22 campaign was another tough one for Bears fans.
Having last won the Super Bowl back in 1968, it has been 35 years of relative pain for Bears fans but those at Soldier Field this season will be hoping things can change.
Catching the Packers could be a tall order, but shrewd draft acquisitions could see them well placed and at +900 to win the NFC North championship, they cannot be totally and utterly discarded.
Completing the line up in the NFC North division table next season will once again be the Detroit Lions, the perennial whipping boys of the competition.
Things would have to improve massively within the Lions camp to be in contention in 2023 but stranger things have happened at +5000.
