For the fourth time this pre-draft cycle, we dive into some potential options for the Green Bay Packers with the 2025 Packers NFL Draft Prospect Primer 4.0. Packers GM Brian Gutenkunst needs to be very careful with how he uses his resources in the 2025 NFL Draft with multiple positions of need. Today’s focus will be diving into NFL Draft prospects that the Green Bay Packers have already had in for pre draft visits or contact with.

EDGE – Princely Umanmielen – Ole Miss

Princely Umanmielen is a finesse edge defender with athleticism and upside to have his sack production translate to the NFL. Umanmielen has great burst, stride and bend to create shallow edges that lead directly into the quarterback’s drop space. His ability to command attention opened opportunities for teammates, contributing to Ole Miss setting school records with 52 sacks and 120 tackles for loss. He shows impressive spatial awareness as a pass rusher, consistently working to the proper rush lane and maintaining leverage on the quarterback.

EDGE – Jah Joyner – Minnesota

  • Jah Joyner is a 6’5″, 265-pound edge rusher who uses long levers to create leverage and win on the edges. He is always a threat to strip quarterbacks when running the arc and has a sneaky slap-and-rip move helps him beat tackles inside. Joyner flashes quick punch-and-discard talent into first contact. With freakish 35-inch arms that serve as constant weapons, he creates separation in the run game or batting down passes. At Minnesota he seemed to become stronger as games progress. A relentless motor that wears down offensive tackles in the fourth quarter like a heavyweight body puncher is an asset to any team.

DT – CJ West – Indiana

CJ West is a journeyman interior defender who grinded his way through the MAC before landing in the Big Ten. Wests initial burst off the snap can catch interior linemen off guard. He is particularly effective when shooting gaps in obvious running situations. West has natural leverage from his compact frame helps him win the pad level battle early in reps. At Indiana he showed good lateral movement skills for his size. He is able to work down the line against zone runs when he maintains proper technique.

DT – Jordan Phillips – Maryland

Jordan Phillips was a standout wrestler and weightlifter during his time in High School. Naturally transitioning to a Powerful nose tackle known for his work ethic and leadership in college. His athletic achievements in the weight room show a freaking athlete. Squatting 665 pounds and putting up a 365-pound overhead press. Philips generates immediate vertical push with explosive first step that can reset the line of scrimmage when timing the snap count correctly.
