Same year, same story for the Packers as they lose against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night 10-7.
There is a reason why the Eagles are the defending Super Bowl Champions.
They showed that against the struggling Packers.
The loss is the second in a row for the Packers and third loss in the 2025 season.
Furthermore, it also drops the Packers out of first place as they are now in third place in the NFC North.
But what went wrong for the Packers in their loss against the Philadelphia Eagles?
Here are three things that went wrong.
1. Offense still struggles against Eagles

One week after the Packers offense struggled to put points up against the Panthers, the struggles continued against the Eagles.
They weren’t able to capitalize on an Eagles turnover in the first quarter, going three and out.
Jordan Love struggled to get any sort of rhythm and was under pressure all night.
When the offense was able to move the ball , they failed to capitalize.
The Packers offense was driving with the first half ending, but a Love fumble stopped the drive.
Through three quarters the Packers didn’t put up any points.
It has been a while since we questioned the play calling of Matt LeFleur but there were times when LeFleur was aggressive.
Multiple times he went for it on 4th down but it didn’t payoff giving the Eagles good field position.
The last four down attempt was one the Packers wished they had back.
With the Packers down 10-7 late in the fourth quarter , Love and the offense attempted to mount a game winning or tying drive.
Facing 4th and 1 and out of field goal range, Love and the offense hurried to the line and handed the ball the Josh Jacobs.
Jacobs couldn’t get past the line of scrimmage, and the Eagles took over in good field position.
It seems that the Eagles knew what was coming, hence the reason why the Packers couldn’t get a yard.
Overall though, not a very good night by the offense at all.
2. 4th quarter defense

The defense could only do so much.
With the offense struggling, the defense held the Philadelphia Eagles offense to 3 points going into the 4th quarter.
But that’s when the flood gates opened.
Early in the 4th quarter, with the Eagles on their own 20 and facing a third down, the Packers had a chance to get off the field.
Instead, Saquon Barkley caught a ball out in the flat and ran into Packers territory.
Then the play after Devonte Smith caught a 36-yard pass for a touchdown.
3. Too Little, Too Late
When the Packers offense did get going and put up points, it was a little too late.
With the Eagles up 10-0, the Packers went on a 4 minute drive and 75 yards to get their first score of the game.
But at that point, it was a two possession game , putting pressure on the before mention Packers defense.
While the defense was still able to get to ball back to offense with time to get a score, the offense couldn’t produce any points.
Conclusion
The Packers really needed to make a statement against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Not only did they fail to do that, they still maintained the same problems they had the previous week.
The offense seems to be the main problem.
When in 3 of your losses the opposing team scores less than 20, your offense needs to pick up the slack.
It seems like an eternity since the Packers played a game where the offense put up numbers.
These problems need to get fixed and fixed fast.
