We’ve entered the worst time of the year for Packers fans, and NFL fans in general. Player movement has mostly come to an end, and there are no minicamps or OTAs remaining. It’s basically the time you spend hoping a star player doesn’t break a bone after getting caught in an unfortunate zoo escape incident.

So what is there to to talk about? While I intend on looking back on the highs and lows of 2025 in the next few weeks, I thought it would be a good time for a roster prediction. Something to look back on when Week 1 arrives.

So who are the lucky 53 players? Lets make some educated guesses.

The Green Bay Packers Offense:

QB:

  1. Jordan Love
  2. Tyrod Taylor

Probably the easiest picks, Love is a top ten QB in the league right now and there’s no reason to think Matt LaFleur couldn’t get by with Taylor for a game or two if needed after what he did with Malik Willis.

RB:

  1. Josh Jacobs
  2. MarShawn Lloyd
  3. Chris Brooks

This is a tricky group. If everything stayed the same I’d say these are the obvious choices. But between Jacobs legal situation and Lloyd’s injury history, a lot can change between now and September. As it stands though these are the obvious picks. Lloyd is the perfect complement to Jacobs and Brooks has always been the pass pro third guy.

WR:

  1. Christian Watson
  2. Jayden Reed
  3. Matthew Golden
  4. Savion Williams
  5. Skyy Moore
  6. Bo Melton

The first four in this group all feel like locks, and Moore seems likely very likely as a returner. That likely leaves one spot, and while Melton is back at WR his versatility likely gives him the edge. Look out for undrafted rookie J. Michael Sturdivant to make a push though.

TE:

  1. Tucker Kraft
  2. Luke Musgrave
  3. Josh Whyle
  4. Luke Lachey

Beyond Kraft and Musgrave, the Packers could go with a number of options. Whyle adds some veteran experience and Lachey seems a player Green Bay is high on, given that they went back to add him after a failed physical earlier in the year.

OL:

  1. Jordan Morgan
  2. Aaron Banks
  3. Sean Rhyan
  4. Anthony Belton
  5. Zach Tom
  6. Jager Burton
  7. Darian Kinnard
  8. Donovan Jennings
  9. Jacob Monk

The top 7 seem like locks as of right now, but injuries and training camp performance could really shake up the bottom of this group.

The Green Bay Packers Defense:

DL:

  1. Lukas Van Ness
  2. Barryn Sorrell
  3. Devonte Wyatt
  4. Javon Hargrave
  5. Chris McClellan
  6. Dani Denis Sutton
  7. Nazir Stackhouse
  8. Colin Oliver
  9. Breton Cox Jr
  10. Karl Brooks
  11. Warren Brinson

Obviously Micah Parsons will eventually take one of these spots, but for now his absence helps one more player stick around. Arron Mosby and Jonathan Ford are two others that could have a shot.

LB:

  1. Edgerrin Cooper
  2. Zaire Franklin
  3. Isaiah McDuffie
  4. Nick Niemann

Niemann gets the nod over former 3rd round pick Ty’Ron Hopper on account of ST ability, but it could go either way. Kristian Welch is another guy the Packers have liked in the past as well.

CB:

  1. Keisean Nixon
  2. Carrington Valentine
  3. Brandon Cisse
  4. Benjamin St Juste
  5. Kamal Hadden
  6. Domani Jackson

An uninspiring group apart from newly added 2nd rounder Brandon Cisse. Regardless, these six seem like the clear cut choices.

S:

  1. Xavier McKinney
  2. Evan Williams
  3. Javon Bullard
  4. Kitan Oladapo
  5. Jonathan Baldwin

The Packers may have the best safety room in the league. I would put their top three against any roster in the league.

Special Teams

  1. Trey Smack
  2. Daniel Whelan
  3. Matt Orzech

Whelan and Orzech seem entrenched, which just leaves the Smack – Havrisik battle as the only bit of uncertainty here. While Smack had an uneven spring, the draft capital likely gives him the nod over Havrisik barring a complete collapse in training camp.
