I know Joe Flacco got himself a Super Bowl win last season, but I still don’t respect him as a passer. Added to that is Ray Rice’s bad hip and the Ravens will need to get creative just to keep drives alive. Look for Jermichael Finley to get behind a collection of linebackers that is very good at rushing the passer but poor at pass coverage.

When this game was first seen on the schedule, this looked like a certain loss for the Packers. Going on the road to face the defending Super Bowl champs-no way they would go back to Green Bay a winner. That attitude has definitely changed. The Ravens are simply not that good. Not that they are bad-but they just are not that good. Joe Flacco made himself a ton of money with a great postseason last year, but still isn’t a top tier QB. A banged up Ray Rice doesn’t help their offense at all. Their defense will get after Rodgers and company. But their injury report also reads like a who’s who for their defense. It will not be easy, but the Packers will head home 3-2.

I keep going back to the Denver game for the Ravens. Whatever you think about the 2013 Green Bay Packers they operate a lot more like the Denver Broncos than any other team on the Ravens schedule. Baltimore’s inability to deal with a stud QB should lead to a Packers victory. This Ravens team did win the Super Bowl, yes, but were far from a dominant squad last year and lost big contributors of that team, including their heart and soul, Ray Lewis. These aren’t last years Ravens.

The Green Bay Packers have struggles on the road recently. In fact they have not won on the road since clinching the NFC north last year in Chicago. The packers are a talented team but in order to find themselves among the elite again they must be able to win close games on the road. Clay Matthews absence on the defense will hurt a little this week as the packers drop another close one to the defending world champions.
