Not having Aaron Rodgers yet again is bad but Eddie Lacy in the snow might be the next best thing. The secondary showed signs of life last week against Tony Romo and should show up against the lesser Ben Roethlisberger at home. The game will be won by by the Packers’ linebackers.

The packers will once again be without Aaron Rodgers when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. The packers need a win with their playoff hopes on the line. I think they get one here at the home finale. The snow on the frozen tundra should make for a beautiful view as the Packers win a low scoring nail biter.

Playoff hopes are alive and well thanks to last week’s miracle comeback against the Cowboys. Matt Flynn led a furious comeback the likes of which had not been seen for decades. He won’t need to do any miracles this week though. The 31st ranked Steelers rushing attack will not be able to move in the snow at Lambeau Field against the Packers 25th ranked rushing defense. Even without Johnny Jolly, they will need to rely on Ben Roethlisberger to move the ball. Antonio Brown is one of the best in the league, and will get his yards. But as last week showed, the infamous bend but don’t break Dom Capers defense can slow down an opponent just enough to allow opportunities for the Packers. On offense it should be simple: give the ball to Eddie Lacy, control the clock, and call passing plays which fit Matt Flynn. The Packers will prevail in the Snow Globe today fairly easily.

EDITORS NOTE: This was written before Aaron Rodgers had been ruled out for the game-I am now torn on whether or not I believe Aaron Rodgers is going to play.  Reading the tea leaves myself I believed that he was going to be cleared to play today.  Reading a lot of other writers’ opinions on the subject however, I am less optimistic.  I’m going to make this prediction based on the more popular belief that the Packers are going to operate with Matt Flynn at QB.  I honestly believe this is the first game that the Packers win under Flynn from start to finish.  The Packers are a more talented team than Pittsburgh and have everything to play for.  The Steelers don’t.
