The From the Benches crew returns after a Super Bowl hiatus to discuss a number of different news items that have surfaced since the Packers’ season ending loss in the NFC Championship and to give you a quick primer for the offseason.
They start with news from the annual NFL Honors event along with the news that special teams coordinator Shawn Slocum has been fired and is likely to replaced by Ron Zook. They then move on to news of Letroy Guion’s arrest. The usual “most positive/most negative” discussion follows but this time it’s regarding the entire 2014 season. The guys then go through some of the high priority in-house free agents and predict which of them will return. They also do a rapid fire prediction on the remaining free agents.
In “You’re Gonna Want to Cut That” Jacob has words for those Packer people who are especially pessimistic following the heartbreaking end to the season.
