Updated List of Packers Prospect Visits

The NFL Draft is just over two weeks away, and the final college Pro Days were held last week as colleges invite scouts to evaluate their prospects. Beyond this point, the Green Bay Packers and other NFL teams are only able to see prospective draftees in individual visits until draft day on April 27.

The Packers have reportedly had 15 players in for visits or otherwise met with them individually. Here they are, listed by position, their type of meeting and projection.

Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State (NFL Combine meeting), 1st-2nd round

Aaron Jones, RB, Texas-El Paso (NFL Combine meeting), 5th-6th round

Joe Mixon, RB, Oklahoma (Private visit), 1st-2nd round

  1. The players are there that I like a lot. T.J.Watt is more then just a bloodline player he can play and should start opening day. I like this linebacking corps. Watt,Mathews,Perry, and Fackrell. Rotate in Martinez and Ryan.Humphrey and Moreau would be my choice for corners. As for running backs there are many choices. Foreman from Texas would compliment Ty well. Mixon is high risk but could be versatile. Cook might fall to us at 29.McCaffrey will be gone early I believe. Another tight end couldn’t hurt to bring in and learn the system.

  2. I would like to add Cooper Kupp to this list. He could be a great back up to Jordy Nelson. Archie Manning has been working with this kid and raves about how talented and sure handed he is as a receiver.

    1. I like Cooper Kupp also… He could be a 2nd round pick …push the others down. Im really high on Trevor Davis and Allison Geronimo as the next generation of receivers. I like Chad Hansen as well but the priority has to DB,CB unless they get a Revis or Sherman before the draft. THen focus on WR..

  3. The 2017 Draft must yield the following, OLB,CB, G, RB,OT, S and WR. A project TE
Here what could happen this year in the Draft 2017
    1. TJ Watt OLB Matthews replacement (Unless Jabril Peppers falls to 25-29 Packers have to take him as a playmaker)
    2. Fabian Moreau CB
    3. Joe Mixon RB first round grade
    4. Adam Bisonty OT… converting to guard
    5. Jaleel Johnson DT he may not be here, in that case Montravious Adams DT
    5. Chris Goodwin WR solid receiver
    6. Nate Jerry S See Kentrell Brice
    7. Storm Norman- Project OT
    Priority FA
    Nate Saubert TE
    Thomas Decoud CB
    Ken Golladay WR
    Kris Kalis G

    1. Looks great except Chris Godwin won’t make it past the 2nd round. He might be an early 2nd round selection matter of fact.

I also think Golladay gets drafted somewhere in the 6th or 7th but we’ll see. Obviously these are just the opinions of another Packers fan like yourself. I really like the projections overall. Nice draft!

      1. TT philosophy is to draft to replace… that’s why I think he will look at TJ WATT,.. players that need to be replaced in the next 2-3 years….
        Matthews
        Bulaga- Spriggs
        Cobb- Trevor Davis
        Peppers- Frackell
        Sitton – Lane
        Burnett – ?
        Nelson-?
        Rodgers – 5 yr window

    2. I really like these picks. Kris Kalis I think will make people forget about losing Lang at right guard. I do believe we need to draft two corners with all the talent at this position.Peppers would be really hard to pass on if he’s there and I know Pittsburgh will take him.The comparisons to Palumaula misspelled make him a Steeler for sure.

  4. Rd 1 Gareon Conley – CB – Ohio State
Rd 2 Derek Rivers – OLB – Youngstown St
Rd 3 Chris Godwin – WR – Penn St
Rd 4 Brian Hill – RB – Wyoming
    Rd 5 Jordan Morgan – G – Kutztown
Rd 5 Justin Davis – RB – USC
Rd 6 Jordan Evans – ILB – Oklahoma
Rd 7 Brendan Langley – CB – Lamar
