There are two things that I’m oldest enough to have but don’t:

  1. A son or daughter, graduating in the year 2020
  2. A son who could be drafted in the 2020 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers

Seeing the creative tributes to graduating high school seniors across the country got me thinking of the young athletes and the draft…….

No pomp and stance for them that was to be in the pontoon ride to the platform in the Bellagio fountain.

Kevin King 2017 Draft
Round 2, 33rd Overall
Green Bay Packers

Neither a handshake from the Commissioner nor a hug from a Hall of Famer this year.

He’ll probably get a phone call at home with close friends and family 6 feet away or on Zoom.

Brett Favre 1991 Draft
2nd round, 33rd Overall
(Falcons, but still Epic photo)

Much different than a room full of people who support him.

Times have sure changed since flip-phones.

Kenny Clark 2016 Draft
1st Round, 27th Overall
Green Bay Packers

And while I understand not being able to walk a red carpet in a custom-tailored tuxedo is a first world problem, as a fan, I want to make it special for the Green Bay Packers 2020 draft class.

Rashan Gary 2019 Draft
1st Round, 12th Overall
Green Bay Packers

To the Green Bay Packers Draft Class of 2020, my commitment to you is to find you on twitter to congratulate you.

Where I see you at training camp (it WILL happen), I will ask for both a selfie and an autograph, or at a minimum, a high five.

We fans are proud of you!

Welcome to the greatest professional sports team franchise!

A 13x World Champion vibe always, there are many photos of Aaron Rodgers on draft day. I honestly can’t get enough of them as a Green Bay Packer’s fan, knowing what he’s achieved since that time in his life.

1st Round, 24th Overall
Green Bay Packers

I’ll be honest, I didn’t like the pick back then but thought the suit coat was tight.

Boy, how my opinions have changed!

Love the pick, hate the suit coat. Maybe that’s why it still hasn’t sold……………? ????

For about ten stimulus checks, bid on the 2005 Aaron Rodgers Draft Day Worn Suit Coat here:
