Below is a breakdown of the popular lines and odds heading into Sunday’s matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers.

All odds found on Draftkings- located here.

Packers Offensive Lineman Elgton Jenkins

Spread: Packers are 3 point underdogs

Moneyline: Packers are underdogs at +150 (San Fran is -170)

No big surprise here, as the Packers have a dismal record in traveling to the West Coast under Matt LaFleur especially to the Bay. The Packers did look better last week against the hapless Lions but did not look like worldbeaters through the first half. While the offense was able to put together an impressive performance and the defense clamped down after the second quarter, the first half looked a lot like what we saw in Week One against the Saints down in Florida.

Adding in the potential that the Packer’s top offensive lineman, Elgton Jenkins, is listed as “Doubtful” the offense will be hard-pressed to protect Rodgers if his top reads aren’t initially available and the run game will suffer as well.

On the defensive side, the Packers are giving up an average of 9.2 yards per play on runs outside the tackle box, and we all know what Kyle Shanahan will do if you let him run the ball. This could get ugly early for the Packers if they aren’t able to put points on the board early since in all likelihood, this will be a long day at the office for Joe Barry and company.

While it’s disappointing to pick against my favorite team, I do not like the Packers to win this game, nor to cover the spread. I will be taking San Fran to cover.

Over/Under: 50.5 total points scored

If the Packers can keep their offensive form from last week, I like the over here. Packers were Under in both of their last two games so if they’re able to hit it this time, that will be a really impressive sign of things to come considering who they will be playing against and the type of environment they can expect.

I am an optimist for the Packers, so I will take the over here. I don’t have any faith in the defense yet, so while I think there will be plenty of points, Green Bay can expect to leave California with a losing record again.

Last Week: 2-1 (66%), Overall 2-4 (33%) this season

Last Season Total- 30-20 (66%)
