Coming into the 2021 season, the Green Bay Packers had plenty of potential to accomplish big things again.

The squad returned nearly every major starter from a team that went 13-3 and won the NFC North again, and drafted a couple players that would surely make an impact right away. Plus, during training camp, fans were told by the guys on the team that this team was hungrier than ever.

Let’s be honest, after the first two weeks, fans were uncertain.

The Packers lost in a blowout to the Saints in Week 1, where MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers looked rough, and the defense had as many holes as the cheeseheads we wear.

Even in the win over the Lions, the Packers didn’t do anything to really convince us that this is a team worthy of winning a Super Bowl.

After a slow start in the first two games, many were picking against Green Bay in its Week 3 road game against the San Francisco 49ers. With a make-shift offensive line, and a tough track record in California in the past, surely Kyle Shanahan and his guys would roll right through the Packers.

The Packers got ahead early and showed real promise on both sides of the ball at times throughout the night in a 30-28 win over the 49ers.

All I want to say is… YES.

Finally, we saw the team we were expecting to see at the start of the season. The San Francisco 49ers are a legitimate Super Bowl contender, and our guys walked into their place and delivered a gut punch.

Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams have never looked better, the defensive line made plays all night and Mason Crosby, once again, delivered the dagger in the clutch.

This is a statement win for the Packers, who Rodgers said finally showed the right “energy” that the squad needs every game, week in and week out.

“If felt like, ‘Now we’re on our way, now we can get into this, now we know how to win and we can get this thing moving,’” Rodgers said post-game.

This is exactly how we feel too, Aaron.

Let’s keep it rolling.
