Analysis:
After much anticipation heading into day two of the NFL Draft the Green Bay Packers select Luke Musgrave, TE, Oregon State in Round 2 of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Luke Musgrave is an absolute beast of a tight end and was ranked very highly at tight end! Musgrave is an all around great prospect both at receiving and blocking.
The Packers could have gone with another tight end right here in Darnell Washington but had to have ranked Musgrave much higher.
Team Fit:
The Packers tight end room was looking pretty empty in Green Bay after the departure of Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis.
Musgrave only played two games in 2022 before being injured. The Packers are betting on his extreme upside and athleticism!
NFL Player Comp – Player
He compares highly to Dallas Goedert.
He has extremely nimble feet and is capable of working the middle of the field, which will be extremely helpful for a young QB in Jordan Love.
Tight end was going to be priority this year for the Packers and they answered the call early on in the second round.
I for one am extremely excited about Luke Musgrave! And am happy to see him carry the āGā!
