The Packers win on Sunday was a big deal. Green Bay had just lost a heart breaker to a divisional rival. Then had to follow it up with a trip into their own personal house of horrors. We don’t need to relive the things that have happened to the Packers in that stadium. But going there and convincingly smashing a Seahawks team that was coming off four straight wins is the kind of thing a Super Bowl contender does.

Excluding the Toyotathon fueled Jordan Love, three Packers played big roles in the win on Sunday and those three Packers will need to continue to do so as Green Bay makes their push into the post season.

Christian Watson

There was a lot of dialogue before the season about who the Packers WR1 would be. So much in fact that it was nausea inducing to some. After the first few weeks I was ready to say it was Jayden Reed. Romeo Doubs is so important to his offense in how he provides a safety outlet for Love when a play breaks down, or for stuff like this –

All of that being said, I think Watson is the guy that sets the ceiling for this offense, and the catches he made against Seattle are the kind that can set him apart and push this Packers offense to another level.

Watson has size and speed that other players on the roster, and frankly in the entire league just don’t have. There’s a perception of him having an issue with drops when in fact he has the lowest drop rate of anyone on the team. He’s also seemingly figured out his hamstring issues. His early injuries put a dent in his ability to develop his game and chemistry with Jordan Love. If he continues to refine his game and play like he did on Sunday, the WR1 spot won’t be a question much longer.

Edgerrin Cooper

Green Bay has not had an above average off ball linebacker in a long time. The last couple of weeks have seen teams attack the middle of the field relentlessly because of this. Cooper made his way back on the field and immediately changed how this Green Bay defense looks. He racked up a sack, a pick, and multiple tackles for loss. With Quay Walker possibly missing games Cooper will need to continue being a difference maker both as a cover man and as a pass rusher.

If Cooper can continue to play at this level, and Green Bay can get Jaire Alexander and Javon Bullard back soon, this defense might just be the unit that can actually carry Green Bay when the time arrives.

Brandon McManus

Brandon McManus has made 93% of his kicks with Green Bay since joining the team mid season. Two of those kicks have been walk off game winners. He has missed no extra points. I continue to have no notes. Please just keep doing this.
