Each year sports betting gets more and more popular. Last season it was estimated that $35 billion would be wagered on the NFL through legal sportsbooks. Can the Green Bay Packers defy the odds in 2025? Here is a look at their season futures bets:

The Packers have not won the NFC North since the 2021 season. Aaron Rodgers was named NFL MVP that season. The Packers are the 2nd favorites despite finishing 1-5 against division opponents a season ago.
The Detroit Lions have won the division the past 2 seasons and are the favorites to repeat again in 2025 with odds set at +155. They lost both their offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator to head coaching jobs this offseason.
The Minnesota Vikings finished last season 14-3 but finished 2nd in the division. They move to the 3rd favorite at +290 because they have an unknown at quarterback in JJ McCarthy.
The Chicago Bears finished 4th in the NFC North last season only winning 5 games. They are the 4th favorite for the 2025 season at +550. They brought in new Head Coach Ben Johnson to try and fix the Bears offense.
To Make the Playoffs

The Packers made the playoffs as a Wild Card team each of the past two seasons. Oddsmakers have them as the 7th and final team making the NFC playoffs in the upcoming season. The teams in the NFC with better odds to make the playoffs in order are the Philadelphia Eagles (-375), San Francisco 49ers (-205), Detroit Lions (-188), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-154), Los Angeles Rams (-144), and Washington Commanders (-134). Again, the difficult schedule and division are the reasons sportsbooks have them as a Wild Card team again in 2025.
To Win the Super Bowl
Odds: +2000
Vegas has the Packers tied for the 7th favorite to win the 2026 Super Bowl. The AFC has 3 of the top 4 favorites with the Buffalo Bills (+700), Baltimore Ravens (+700), and Kansas City Chiefs (+800). However, only one of those 3 powerhouse teams can make the Super Bowl. The favorites to come out of the NFC are the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (+700), followed by the Detroit Lions (+1100). The only other team with better odds in the NFC are the San Francisco 49ers (+1900). Without the superstar talent at quarterback the handicappers view the NFC as more wide open than the AFC.
This young Packers team has proven they can compete in the playoffs. In 2023 they won their Wild Card game in Dallas against the Cowboys 48-32. They lost 24-21 in the divisional round to the 49ers the following week. The 49ers would go on to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Last season the Packers matched up against the eventual Super Bowl champion Eagles in the Wild Card Round in Philadelphia. They lost 22-10 but played them as well as any team in the playoffs.

Sportsbooks view the Packers as a competitive team in the NFC entering the 2025 season. They are giving them a good chance to make the playoffs, win the division, and compete for a Super Bowl.
