Week 1 of the NFL Season was no fluke, the Green Bay Packers are legit Super Bowl Contenders. In the highly anticipated NFC matchup on Thursday Night Football, the Packers were victorious over the Washington Commanders with a final score of 27-18. Today we will break down the 4 starts of the game in Green Bay vs. Washington.

Jordan Love

The first of our 4 stars of the Game in Green Bay vs Washington is none other than Quarterback Jordan Love. Love finished the game with 292 passing yards and 2 touchdowns, accumulating a QB rating of 113.9. That doesn’t count a beautiful touchdown pass in the 1st quarter that was called back due to a holding penalty. That play ultimately cost the Packers WR Jayden Reed, who broke his collarbone on the play. The leadership and confidence was oozing off of Love after delivering a massive blow to Commanders cornerback Trey Amos. Love has had an excellent start to his 2025 season and hopes to continue his strong start in Cleveland next week.

Keisean Nixon

2nd of our 4 stars of the game in Green Bay vs Washington is cornerback Keisean Nixon. Nixon was all over the field last night in Lambeau. He had 5 pass break ups which was the 2nd most in Green Bay Packers history tied with Jaire Alexander in 2018. A monster game from #25 who is quickly silencing the doubters and proving that he is CB1. In the postgame press conference media asked Nixon if the swagger on the defense was different this year, which Nixon replied “Yeah, we got Micah Parsons”.

Tucker Kraft

Number 3 of our 4 stars of the game in Green Bay vs Washington is Tight End Tucker Kraft. Kraft put up 6 catches, 124 yards and a big touchdown in the 4th quarter to answer the Commanders who had just cut the lead to 7 points. Early on in the game Kraft was left wide open down the seam taking it 57 yards and reaching a top speed of 19.19 MPH. Kraft finished the day with a PFF grade of 86.5(High Quality). Thus far in 2025 Tucker Kraft has 8 catches, 140 yards and 2 touchdowns. He is showing why Packers fans have been so high on him since he was drafted in 2023.

Micah Parsons

Last but certainly not least of our 4 stars of the game in Green Bay vs Washington is Micah Parsons. The Micah Parsons project has been in full effect in just limited snaps for the newly acquired Parsons. Last night the EDGE rusher accumulated 8 pressures, a half sack, and a PFF grade of 91.3(Elite). The Packers as a team had a total of 33 pressures, with Parsons winning at a 25% pass rush win rate. You can see why Packers GM Brian Gutekunst had no hesitation trading 2 1st round picks and Kenny Clark in exchange for Parsons. Parsons has transformed this defense from a good defense to a great defense. In the post game on field interview with Micah Parsons, Packers fans loudly chanted “Thank you Jerry”!
