In 2026, the Packers Wide Receiver room has a new look and a new trio of players for Jordan Love to throw to.
It’s something the Packers have had in the past and it has helped the Packers become a passing powerhouse.
This year though the look of it has a mix of young and experienced players.
With the trade of Dontayvion Wicks to the Eagles and Romeo Doubs leaving in free agency, it opened a couple of spots in the Packers Wide Receiver Depth chart.
Luckily for the Packers their depth at Wide Receiver has always been good and they had their replacement ready.
Here is a look at the top three Wide Receivers on the depth chart, also known as the big three.
Matthew Golden
While their was big expectations for Golden in his rookie year, Golden didn’t get as many targets as expected.
In 2025 Golden had 29 receptions for 361 yards.
This year there is more hope for Golden.
The former first round pick has already entrenched himself as one of the three starting WRs.
Most likely Golden will start as one of the Packers outside receivers.

Golden put on an impressive showing, catching multiple deep throws, including one for a touchdown.
If Golden can keep improving, he could be another deep threat for Jordan Love and the Packers offense, along side Christian Watson.
Christian Watson
As mentioned earlier, Christian Watson is another Wide Reciever who is a deep threat for the Packers.
Head coach Matt Lafleur always talks about “taking the top off the defense” and thats exactly what Watson can do.
After last season where Watson had 35 receptions for 611 yards and 6 touchdowns, the Packers decided to give him a new contract.
Watson signed a four-year contract extension worth up to $110.5 million.
Furthermore the contract extension means the Packers have confidence in Watson being their top WR.
You saw what the Packers offense was like without Watson.
It lacked big plays and it seemed like the Packers had no deep threat.
With Watson on the field, you know that defenses will respect Watson with his speed and size.
Watson will be the Packers other outside receiver alongside Golden, which makes for a dangerous combo.
If both Watson and Golden can be deep threats, that would be a nightmare for defenses to scheme.
Not only are you dealing with 2 deep threats who have big play ability, you have a slot receiver to be concerned about as well.
Jayden Reed
Finishing out the “Big Three” at Wide Receiver is Jayden Reed.
Reed has had a lot of success since being drafted by the Packers in 2023.
Most of the plays he has made has been in the slot.
Reed has the quickness and size to make big plays in the slot, much like former Packer Randall Cobb.
Furthermore he is very versitile as Reed can play out of the backfield as well.
Last year Reed battled injuries preventing him to see the field much.
Reed had 19 receptions for 207 yards and one touchdown last year in 7 games.
But the Packers have enough trust in Reed to continue to be productive that they gave a him a new contract.
Reed signed a three-year contract extension worth $50.25 million back in April.
The signing keep both Reed and Watson together for the foreseeable future, along with Golden who is still on his rookie contract.
Look for Reed to get targets as defenses will have to focus on both Watson and Golden being deep threats.
Taking attention off Reed will help as he’ll be big in getting yards after the catch on those short/immediate routes.
