Chris and Dave have a Packers win to talk about, and neither one of them sounds especially victorious. Green Bay beat Tampa Bay by a field goal to climb back to 2 and 2, and spent most of the afternoon doing everything in its power to lose. Ten penalties. Two fumbles. A turnover in the red zone. Then Cooper went down with an Achilles, and a game that should have felt like relief turned into another entry on the injury ledger alongside Micah Parsons, Jayden Reed and ZBB. The guys open on the cruelty of a sport where the team that stays healthiest wins, and the growing sense that the Packers aren’t going to be that team.
Where they split is on what it all means. One side of the table still sees the talent on this roster and blames the trainer’s room more than the war room, pointing to a 2023 season that started 3 and 6 and ended with a thrashing of Dallas. The other side is stuck on the decisions, the commitment to a run game that doesn’t exist, the wasted downs chucking it forty yards on third and eight, and the fact that it took until Week 4 and a trip to the veteran bargain bin to admit the offensive line was broken. They do agree on one thing: the defense finally put eight men on the line of scrimmage and sent corners and safeties after the quarterback, and it worked. Evan Williams was a monster.
The betting lines crown a repeat champion from Delafield who may end up owning the hotel and casino outright, and this week’s card gets specific on fumbles, fourth down attempts and whether a certain cornerback’s flag is going to cost them the whole thing.

Posting its first show in 2005, Packers Therapy is the longest-running Packers podcast on the Internet. Hosts Chris and Dave began the show as a way of capturing the spirited chats the two co-workers had about the team around the office. The two have no pretense about being experts: they are just two opinionated shareholders who love the team, follow it closely, but don’t always see the Packers fortunes eye to eye.
The guys encourage comments and questions via their Twitter feed @PackersTherapy or email to packerstherapy@yahoo.com and read and respond to as many as they can during each show.
