Packers Therapy: Grasping for Air

packerstherapy-featured (1)

With last week’s shakedown cruise behind them, Chris and Dave use Episode 231 to discuss manscaping, the Addams Family, and make multiple references that they find hilarious (but will probably leave you grasping for air). For fun, the guys talk about what Dave saw at the Edward Jones Dome during the Packers preseason win over the Rams, and discuss how the Green Bay roster looks to be shaping up after two practice games.

Posting its first show in 2005, Packers Therapy is the longest-running Packers podcast on the Internet. Hosts Chris and Dave began the show as a way of capturing the spirited chats the two co-workers had about the team around the office. The two have no pretense about being experts: they are just two opinionated shareholders  who love the team, follow it closely, but don’t always see the Packers fortunes eye to eye.

The guys encourage comments and questions via their Twitter feed @PackersTherapy and read and respond to as many as they can during each show.

Packers Therapy: Initial Consult

packerstherapy-featured (1)

In their Maiden Voyage on PTRN, Chris and Dave discuss Cubism, Impressionism, Obstetrics and Gynecology, the passing of Robin Williams, and break down the upcoming Emmy’s. Oh, and they also talk about the Packers’ soggy preseason opener against Tennessee and somehow manage to discuss whether Charles Woodson should join the Packers’ other legends whose names are inscribed on the facade inside Lambeau Field.

From The Benches: Favre Returns Home

From the Benches Packers Podcast

The boys are back with a new show with some explosive content sure to rock the minds of Packers fans all around.

The show begins with the exciting news that Brett Favre is returning to Green Bay for his induction into the Packers Hall of Fame and retiring of his jersey, followed by the unfortunate news of Don Barclay and Jared Abbrederis’ torn ACL’s.

The boys go behind the bench this week with a discussion of what injury between Barclay and Abbrederis concerns them more before discussing the heated battle for the #3 wide receiver position.

Following that, the show takes an interesting turn as they discuss stories that were brought to light in an episode of Green and Gold Today regarding Brett Favre. A discussion of the first preseason game follows with who the guys are looking at, and they check in on their Adopt-a-Packers, all before Ross has some words about the training staff in the show’s signature segment You’re Gonna Want To Cut That.

From The Benches: Camp Heats Up

From the Benches Packers Podcast

The boys are back and better than ever in a brand new show. The show begins with breaking news of a new contract extension for General Manager Ted Thompson, with speculation that an extension for Mike McCarthy is not tor far behind. Following that are a couple news tidbits about players coming off the injury lists, and an organization role for recently retired running back Johnathan Franklin.

After the news segment, the boys go behind the bench discussing whether the idea of Micah Hyde being the starting safety over first-round pick Ha Ha Clinton-Dix bothers them, before they check in on the tight end position battle in practice.

The summer conversation series continues this week with a discussion of the guys’ favorite pre-Ron Wolf era player, before Ryan discusses some of the starters on special teams in the show’s signature segment You’re Gonna Want To Cut That.

Packers Therapy To Join PTRN in 2014

packerstherapy-featured (1)

The Packers Talk Radio Network would like to extend a warm invitation to Chris Richards and David Erickson as their venerable show, Packers Therapy, joins our family of podcasts this season.

Chris and Dave and I go way, way back to our days at PackerChatters, when Packers Therapy was pretty much the first and only fan-created podcast in existence. Since those days, many other Packer podcasts have started up and flamed out, and PT remains today the longest continuously-running podcast in the Packers Blogosphere.

While we know PackersTalk.com was already your favorite one-stop shop for the best in the latest Packers podcasts, the addition of Packers Therapy should insure our weekly podcast offerings are must-stop for every Packer fan!

Posting its first show in 2005, Packers Therapy is one of the longest running Packers podcasts on the Internet. Hosts Chris and Dave began the show as a way of capturing the spirited chats the two co-workers had about the team around the office. While both are life-long Packers fans, the two didn’t always see affairs related to the team the same way, so Dave threw down the gauntlet and suggested they record their lively “discussions.” Chris, who worked for several years as a radio news reporter early in his career, said he was game…as long as David bought the necessary podcasting gear and found a way to get it on the ‘Net.
