According to ESPN.com’s Rob Demovsky, Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is looking at different possibilities with his offensive play calling staff, but nothing has been finalized yet.
This is coming after a report from WDUZ’s Chris Havel that the Packers have promoted Edgar Bennett to offensive coordinator and Tom Clements will be associate head coach and call the plays on offense. No other beat writers have been able to confirm this report.
This is a pretty big development with McCarthy at least looking into giving up play calling. It seems like the Packers spiraling out of control during the final five minutes of Seattle could lead to even more repercussions than just Shawn Slocum getting fired.
I will have more on this in my article for tomorrow morning.

MM is a good coach but he has to much on his plate when he is play calling. Now maybe he can focus on the team as a whole instead of just offense during games. Like when Matthews was standing on the sidelines the last five minutes of the game because he was tired..That would not have happened if MM would have known I am sure he would have said get your ass back in there and finish the game!
