As the school year comes to an end for kids around Wisconsin, the anticipation of the upcoming Packers season begins to ramp up. Packers fans across Wisconsin and the nation will start making their vacation plans to see Lambeau Field and the players practice. The team announced the 2018 Family Night Scrimmage will be held on Saturday, August 4th.

The Family Night Scrimmage is the unofficial opening of training camp for many fans. This is also the first time that rookies and new players to the team will get to enter Lambeau Field for the first time in a Packers uniform. For many players this game like experience will get them ready for the upcoming season.

This is the 18th season the Packers have held the Family Night Scrimmage. In 2017, over 63,000 fans packed Lambeau Field to watch the team practice under the lights. The team caps off the evening with a spectacular fireworks show.

August 4th will be a big day for the Packers organization. At 6 PM Central Time, the Pro Football Hall of Fame will hold its enshrinement ceremony. Green Bay Packers Legend and Packer Hall of Famer, Jerry Kramer will be inducted as part of the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame class.

The Packers will officially kick off activities with their annual shareholder meeting on July 25th. They will conduct their first training camp practice the next day on July 26th. Fans making the annual pilgrimage to Green Bay will encounter something new this year. For the first four days of training camp, the Packers Experience will be set-up outside of Lambeau Field.

Tickets for the Family Night event will go on sale through Ticketmaster at 10 AM on June 27th and will cost $10. According to Packers.com, more information on the event will be released at a later date. Stay tuned.
