The Packers off-season workouts are in full swing. The new young coaching staff lead by head coach Matt Lafleur is definitely making an impression on the veteran players. The rookies are getting accustomed to life in the NFL.
Now, it is the fans turn to get their first glimpse at head coach Matt Lafleur, the rookies, the free agent signings like Preston Smith, Za’Darius Smith and Adrian Amos.
A new NFL season is underway, there is optimism in the air in Titletown and the Packers are laying the foundation for the upcoming 2019 season.
The team kicks off OTA practices next week and three practices are open to the public. The team is scheduled to practice on Tuesday, May 21, Wednesday, May 29, and Tuesday, June 4 at Clarke Hinkle Field. All three practices will start at 12:05 p.m. CT. These three OTA practices will be standing-room along Oneida Street.
Organized Team Activities will continue May 28, 29, 31 and June 3-6. After that, the players will return Tuesday, June 11 for 3 days of mandatory mini-camp. All of this leads up to training camp, which starts Thursday, July 25th.
We are not that far away from football returning and there will be plenty of story lines to follow this summer as the team gears up for the 2019 season.
