Packers Have Jam-packed Schedule Of Good Games in 2021

The Packers won’t know when they’ll be playing their 2021 opponents until the middle of May, when the NFL schedule comes out. Sports Business Journal reporter Ben Fischer reported in March that the schedule will likely be coming out between May 10-14.

With that said, the Packers 2021 schedule is absolutely loaded with big-time matchups. In fact, I personally can’t remember going into a season with such a packed schedule. As always, it remains to be seen who will actually turn out to be good and who under-delivers. Nonetheless, it’s an exciting time to think about which games to catch live, or simply enjoy them from home or the bar. They should be good.

Packers Away Opponents 2021

NFC North: Bears, Lions, Vikings

Ravens: As is the case with all outer-conference games, the Packers and Ravens typically play each other only once every four seasons. Also, the Packers only play in the city of Baltimore approximately once every 8 years. The last time these two teams met was in 2017, with Brett Hundley squaring off against Joe Flacco. The ring of Aaron Rodgers vs. Lamar Jackson sounds real nice and it may be the only time these two quarterbacks play each other. Matchup Grade: A

Bengals: A young and upcoming Bengals team, led by NCAAF Champion and potential future Superstar Joe Burrow. Sign me up. Matchup Grade: B

Chiefs: I mean, do I really need to even say it? Between regular season games and potential Super Bowl matchups, we’ve been waiting for this QB matchup since 2019. Matchup Grade: A+

Cardinals: Wow. Another electric game. Kyler Murray and the hungry Cardinals take on the Packers in the desert. This could be a good vacation to take in the fall and catch it live. Matchup Grade: A

Saints: It’s tough to know what to expect from the Saints now that Drew Brees is retired. He was such a great player for a very long time and replacing him will be tough. The Packers were just down in New Orleans last season, albeit an empty Superdome. Matchup Grade: C+

Packers Home Opponents 2021

NFC North: Bears, Lions, Vikings

Browns: Baker Mayfield and the high-flying Browns come to Lambeau Field. I hope this game is in primetime. Matchup Grade: A-

Steelers: A big name franchise comes to town and TJ Watt’s first appearance in his home state. Additionally, file this fact under the “hard-to-believe” category. Aaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisberger haven’t played against each other since the Super Bowl. Matchup Grade: B+

Washington Football Team: A young, hungry team with an aggressive defense led by the bearded GOAT himself, Ryan Fitzpatrick Matchup Grade: B

Rams: Matthew Stafford returns to Lambeau with a different franchise; the franchise that got bounced by the Packers in the playoffs last season. Matchup Grade: A

Seahawks: Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers have a history Matchup Grade: A-

  1. A horrendous schedule. They’ll be very lucky to make the playoffs having to face that lot. Might beat the Bengals and Washington so all is not lost.
