The Green Bay Packers will be a team to watch in 2024. Though we haven’t seen a Packers Super Bowl win since 2011, things feel like they have turned a corner. More than just the impressive Jordan Love stats, the team feels young, hungry, and talented again.

For all your football news, Overtime Heroics is the place to go. Check out the latest news, track progress as Love helps drive another GB Packers Super Bowl appearance, and more. How do the Packers shape up for the 2024 season?

Jordan Love. Without a doubt, the biggest factor in a Packers Super Bowl drive will be Love. The 26th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft got his first shot as a starter in 2023 and did not disappoint. One quick look at Jordan Love’s stats and it becomes easy to see why people are so excited.

Love started all 17 games. He completed 64.2% of his passes for an impressive 4,159 yards. Even more impressive than that is the fact that he threw 32 touchdowns to just 11 interceptions. He shows the same kind of gunslinger attitude that previously successful quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre have for the Packers.

If the Packers are to build on last year’s surprising success, Love is going to be the catalyst. Green Bay Packers Super Bowl hype begins and ends with him. The defense will need to be better, against the run especially, but Jordan Love will succeed to take them to a higher level.

Tougher Schedule. Perhaps the biggest hindrance to a GB Packers Super Bowl run is the schedule. The Packers’ collective opponents have a .526 winning percentage from a year ago, tied for the fourth toughest in the league.

As mentioned, the defense struggled against the run a year ago, though they were quite good against the pass. Finding more balance offensively while shoring up those defensive inconsistencies must happen if the Packers are going to build on last year.

The NFC North will also likely be tougher. Though the Minnesota Vikings are transitioning to a new QB, they have some of the best offensive weapons in the game. The Chicago Bears added their franchise QB and one of the best receivers in the draft. Finally, the Detroit Lions are coming off their best season ever and have the Super Bowl in mind.

Super Bowl Odds. As it stands, a Green Bay Packers Super Bowl win is +2500. Those are pretty long odds, especially compared to teams like the Kansas City Chiefs, who are roughly +700. The Packers face the daunting task of getting past the top teams in the NFC before ever having to tangle with the Chiefs or another AFC contender.

The odds will change as the year goes on. If the Packers get off to a hot start, they may see their odds improve exponentially. A stumble and they could wind up being one of the longshots to win the whole thing. In any event, the green and gold are back in contention again.
