In a potential preview for their first-round playoff matchup, the Green Bay Packers traveled west for a Sunday Night Football matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. With both teams in playoff contention, it was the Packers that came out on top, winning 30-13.

Seattle is a house of horrors for the Packers, as they have plenty of unfortunate memories that they wish they could forget. But in Sunday’s win, Green Bay was able to expel a few of those issues, as they came out of the gates hot and never looked back.

Offense

Sunday was the Josh Jacobs show, as the first offensive drive for the Packers set the run-heavy tone early on. Jacobs found the end zone and had a massive workload, as Matt LaFleur leaned heavily on his star free agent addition from this past offseason. Jacobs scored the first touchdown of the game, converting another one-yard attempt for a short score.

Jordan Love wasn’t asked to do much, but he did connect with Romeo Doubs for a score on the team’s second and second-to-last offensive drives. Love was efficient and was constantly looking to move the ball down the field, but LaFleur didn’t put the ball in his hands a ton, helping keep his star QB upright.

Defense

This may have been Jeff Hafley’s best defensive performance of his coaching tenure in Green Bay, as he was aggressive and threw all sorts of different looks at the Seattle offense.

Helping keep the three-headed receiver group of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett quiet all game with the injured secondary is a huge win, and a lot of that is to do because of the pass rush.

Green Bay Packers

The defense racked up seven sacks in the win, with Kingsley Enagbare leading the way with two. Edgerring Cooper, Rashan Gary, Brenton Cox Jr., Devonte Wyatt, and Karl Brooks all recorded a sack as well, as the pass rush lived in the Seattle bakersfield.

Carrington Valentine and Cooper picked off the Seattle QBs, with Valentine’s coming in the end zone and Cooper being the first of his young NFL career. While Geno Smith was knocked out of Sunday’s game with a knee injury, the defense went after both Smith and Sam Howell, making things equally tough across the board.
