The NFL Draft is right around the corner. Each NFL team is allowed to conduct 30 pre-draft visits with players of their choosing. Here’s a look at who the Green Bay Packers have invited so far for pre-draft visits.
Brian Gutekunst seems to value these visits heavily. For example, three players drafted by Green Bay in the 2024 draft had pre-draft visits. In 2023, four of the selected players had pre-draft visits and in 2022 six picks had pre-draft visits.
Brian Gutekunst has mentioned, “You only have 30 and that’s not very many and they’re very valuable to us” in regard to these visits. Let’s dive into the players who have held visits with the Packers thus far.
Shemar Stewart: Edge, Texas A&M
In no way should fans be shocked that Brian Gutekunst invited Shemar Stewart for a pre-draft visit. Stewart has all the measurables to be a complete game wrecker. Stewart measures in at 6-foot-5 and 267 pounds and he posted a 4.59 for his 40-yard dash. He even scored a perfect 10.0 for his Relative Athletic Score, something Brian Gutekunst really values.
With all the perfect traits, his stats from college are not what you’d expect to see for someone with his athleticism. Stewart played for A&M for three seasons and had only 1.5 sacks in each of those seasons. Despite not having the numbers to back up his athleticism, Stewart performed well at the Senior Bowl, another component of draft evaluation process that Brian Gutekunst tends to value highly.
Stewart is a projected first round pick. The lack of production in college is concerning, but the traits and athleticism are definitely there.
James Pearce Jr: Edge, Tennessee
James Pearce Jr. is regarded as one of the best pass rushers in the draft. Pearce measured in at 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds. Pearce earned an unofficial 9.35 Relative Athletic Score.
Pearce had 7.5 sacks in his 2024 season at Tennessee and led the SEC in sacks in 2023 with 10. He is a projected first round pick. Despite Pearce being mildly undersized, his pass rush craft is admirable and his production in college speaks for itself.
Isaiah Bond: Wide Receiver, Texas
Gutekunst has repeatedly remained confident in his young wide receiver core, but with unknowns moving into the 2026 season, the Packers will need to add to the room.
Isaiah Bond has the speed that the Packers are looking for. Bond measured in at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds and posted a speedy 4.39 on the 40-yard dash.
Bond could very well be the answer in later rounds. Projected as a third-round pick, Bond started his career as a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide. In his 2023 season with the Tide, Bond caught 48 passes for 668 yards and four touchdowns. After transferring to Texas for the 2024 season, Bond caught 34 passes for 540 yards and five touchdowns for the Longhorns.
Shavon Revel: Cornerback, East Carolina
The Packers will most definitely be adding to the cornerback room next month. With an already thin corner room, and questions still remaining around Jaire Alexander’s future, Shavon Revel would be a solid addition to the secondary. Revel has a pre-draft visit lined up next week with Green Bay.
Revel is a potential first round pick. Revel would add some much-needed height to Green Bay’s corner room. Measuring at 6-foot-1 7/8, 194 pounds and 32 5/8-inch arms, Revel possesses an elite build.
Revel was a solid piece for East Carolina. His 2023 season put him on the map and the start of his 2024 season was special, as he snagged two interceptions. Despite the hot start, Revel tore his ACL in practice not long after the third game of the season in 2024. Despite the injury, it seems Gutekunst still values what Revel could bring to the table.
Esa Pole: Offensive Tackle, Washington State
Pole is projected as a late round/undrafted selection. Pole did not begin playing football until college, where he began his career through junior college. Pole eventually became the starting left tackle for Washington State and in 2024 he did not allow a single sack.
Brian Gutekunst always prioritizes offensive line. The Packers seem to have a talent for finding the hidden gems in offensive lineman within the draft. Pole could be a low risk late round selection that would add some more depth to Jordan Love’s blindside.
Jacob Bayer: Center, Arkansas State
Bayer began his college career as a member of the FCS Lamar Cardinals. Bayer made his move to Arkansas State and earned first-team all-conference honors in 2023. With the departure of former Packers starting center Josh Myers, it’s unclear how the Packers will proceed with the offensive line. As a projected late round pick, Bayer could also be another low risk pick for depth.
Mykel Williams: Edge, Georgia
It has become evident over the last few drafts that Brian Gutekunst has no hesitation around drafting players from Georgia. Mykel Williams‘ measurables are the typical mold you’d expect the Packers to target. Measuring in at 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds, Williams would be an excellent addition to the Packer’s pass rush.
Williams tallied 21 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and a pass break up in his 2024 season. Williams later announced that he battled an ankle injury all season that kept him from being 100%.
Williams is a projected first round pick and would be a fun pick for Jeff Hafley to work with. He could definitely be the pick at 23.
