The 2025 NFL Draft is just two days away. With the Packers hosting, the excitement is on another level. While I love the draft, I don’t necessarily study the players extensively. Each year, I only do one mock draft.

My Packers mock draft includes no trades and is pretty straight forward. I will go into all seven rounds and how each player fits with the team right now.

Round 1, Pick 23: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

Harmon is a player I included on the Packers most likely first round draft picks. Defensive tackle is a major need, and Harmon has the skill set to be a starter from day one. Harmon is a solid blocker and has versatility to fit in any defensive front.

Round 2, Pick 54: Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State

With the loss of Christian Watson for most of the year, a wide receiver is a must. Higgins provides the deep threat the Packers need with the absence of Watson.

Round 3, Pick 87: Jacob Parrish, CB, Kansas State

While Jacob Parrish certainly doesn’t replace Jaire Alexander. Parrish has the skills at his disposal to be a CB 2/3. With Keisan Nixon, Carrington Valentine and the addition of Nate Hobbs, Parrish would fit in well.

Round 4, Pick 124: Antwaun Powell-Ryland, EDGE, Virginia Tech

Packers Twitter might not be too happy if Gutekunst waits until the fourth round to address the pass rush. However, Antwaun Powell-Ryland has been highly effective boasting 25.5 sacks the past two seasons. With some more polish and development, Powell-Ryland would be a welcome addition to the pass rush.

Round 5, Pick 159: Jay Higgins, LB, Iowa

The Packers linebacker room is not set in stone, besides Edgerrin Cooper. Jay Higgins has determination and is a willing tackler. He is also very effective in coverage.

Round 6, Pick 198: Mitchell Evans, TE, Notre Dame

While tight end is not necessarily a need for the Packers, they could benefit with depth. Luke Musgrave did not take a step forward this season and was injured. Mitchell Evans has the traits the Packers desire in a tight end, especially being a solid blocker.

Round 7, Pick 237: Dalton Cooper, OT, Oklahoma State

It would not be a Packers mock draft without an offensive lineman. Historically, the team has been very good at drafting linemen in the late rounds and getting production out of them. Dalton Cooper started all five years in college and provides more depth to the line, which is never a bad thing.

Round 7, Pick 250: Marques Sigle, S, Kansas State

Adding to the much-improved safety room, Marques Sigle offers more physicality as a run defender and can provide good special teams traits.

Overall, the Packers have many options to improve the team through the draft this year. Having the event in Green Bay will make it even that much sweeter.
