With the 23rd pick of the first round of the NFL draft the Green Bay Packers select.

Those words might be spoken mere days from now with the draft coming up this week.

A lot of questions are still up in the air for the Packers heading into the NFL draft.

There are a lot of needs the Packers have both on offense and defense.

On the offensive end you could possibly fill the void left by Christian Watson as he will be sidelined for the majority of the 2025 season.

The Packers could also add more depth on the offensive line.

On the defensive end, the Packers need help at cornerback as Jaire Alexanders future is uncertain with the team.

Then again, the Packers could add another pass rusher to the front four.

With that here are my potential first round draft picks the Packers could go with in the first round.

WR Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State

This is probably the pick that would make the most sense for me.

Emeka Egbuka has the talent, size and speed to be a great wide receiver.

Although Egbuka played mostly the slot position while at Ohio State, he can play out on the perimeter as well.

During his time at Ohio State Egbuka had over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns

Egbuka can help revamp the Packers WR room, which will be without Christian Watson for most of the season.

Not only that but Egbuka would have a chance right away to make an impact for the Packers.

DE Shemar Stewart, Texas A&M

The Packers could once again go defense and help their pass rush with this pick.

Shemar Stewart has everything you look for in a defensive lineman.

He’s big, young, athletic, plays a premium position and is from a big program (Texas A&M)

Stewart has a big upside, and has potential to be a threat as an EDGE rusher.

The only thing holding that might hold the Packers back would be his stats during his time at Texas A&M.

Stewart only had 4.5 sacks during his college career, but his athleticism and size make him an intriguing pick for the Packers.

CB Maxwell Hairston, Kentucky

Looking for the possible replacement for Jaire Alexander, the Packers could go with a cornerback that is an elite athlete with big-time ball production.

Maxwell Hairston clocked the fastest 40 time (4.28) at the NFL combine this year.

Over the last 20 games of his college career, Hairston had six interceptions, three of which were returned for touchdowns.

Hairston would fit the type of cornerback that defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley would be looking for.

WR Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona

The question is whether or not Tetairoa McMillan will be available at the 23rd pick.

The Packers may need to trade up to grab McMillan, but adding him could be impactful to the Packers offense.

McMillan has the size and play style of a big NFL receiver, comparable to Tee Higgins or Drake London.

He is also the most “pro ready receiver” in the draft and is ready to contribute right away.

This is something the Packers need.

The numbers speak for themself.

In 2023 he caught 90 passes for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Last year he caught 84 passes for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns.

Conclusion

Anything could happen in the NFL Draft.

We saw it when Aaron Rodgers dropped into the Packers laps in 2005.

With night one quickly approching, the Packers have another chance to improve their team.

The only question is, who will the Packers be adding to their team to help them.
