The NFL Draft has come and gone, and the Green Bay Packers have added multiple position of need to the roster. They have utilized the NFL Draft and Undrafted Free Agency to add 18 players to the 2025 version of the Packers. The team even dabbled into free agency with adding former 8th overall pick Isaiah Simmons. Today we move past the 2025 NFL Draft and look forward to some additional remaining free agent options for the Green Bay Packers.
LB – Jadeveon Clowney

If there is one thing Green Bay Packers fans can agree on, it is that the team may not have done enough to help the pass rush in 2025. Enter recently released former number 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft Jadeveon Clowney. Sure he is 32 years old with a laundry list of injuries in his 10 year NFL Career. That doesn’t change the fact that the Packers do not have a proven pass rusher outside of Rashan Gary. Banking on players like Kingsley Enagbare or Lukas Van Ness to take leaps may be a stretch. Jadeveon Clowney can add some much needed pass rush juice if healthy. The 6’5’’ 255 pound Clowney has compiled 26 sacks over the last 4 seasons with a 70.8 PFF grade in 2024. Jadeveon may be one of the best remaining free agent options.
CB – Asante Samuel Jr.

Another of the potential remaining free agent options for the Green Bay Packers is former draft crush Asante Samuel Jr. Samuel Jr. A player with potential upside Samuel Jr. is 25 years old, 5’10’’, 180 pounds. The son of former NFL Great Asante Samuel, Jr. has not made the same name for himself in the NFL as of yet. In Samuel Jr. first 4 seasons he has 6 interceptions with 37 passes broken up. He wasn’t spectacular during his time with the Chargers, but we didn’t get to see him play much for new defensive coordinator Jesse Minter before the injury. Samuel had spent the entirety of his career up to that point under Brandon Staley, and it’s possible he could look better in a different defense.
CB – Mike Hilton

Our last remaining free agent option is former Cincinnati Bengals Cornerback Mike Hilton. Hilton accounted for 73 total tackles, 50 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and five pass breakups in 16 games last season. At 31 years old, Hilton is one of the more reliable cornerbacks in the league, with Pro Football Focus giving him an overall grade of 75.9 and a coverage grade of 68.5 last season. With the uncertainty of Jaire Alexanders future with the Packers, Hilton may be a nice insurance policy. It will be interesting to see if the Green Bay Packers will be in or out on any remaining free agent options.
