Omar Brown knows a thing or two about playing in a city where football rules all. Brown comes to Green Bay from Lincoln, Nebraska. Brown is a former safety for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
The similarities between the Huskers and the Packers are hard for me to ignore. I might be a little biased, as I call Lincoln home, and Green Bay my honorary second home. When you walk through Memorial Stadium and Lambeau Field, the atmosphere jolts through you.
Now Omar Brown is fighting for a roster spot on the Green Bay Packers. A chance to cement a legacy most players could never dream up. While he is certainly flashing in training camp, that part is only half the battle.
Omar Brown: Star of Family Night

Family night and training camp are some of the many reasons we love football. It is a place where every single player has a chance to become an NFL stand out. It does not matter if you are a first-round draft pick or an undrafted free agent.
The playing ground is equal, and this is the place where stars are made. Omar Brown is an undrafted free agent. However, he carries himself with confidence and poise. He knows the only thing he can control is himself. Everything else around him is outside of that control.
The safety room is almost set in stone. Xavier McKinney, Javon Bullard and Evan Williams are locks. Kitan Oladapo follows behind along with Zayne Anderson who has been key on special teams.
No matter what happens, the memories of being able to shine at Lambeau carry significant weight. In these final weeks of training camp, Brown has to continue to climb the ladder of the depth chart.
Interceptions, regardless of being against the second and third teamers is a great place to start. If Brown continues to maximize the opportunities that are in front of him, he will have done more than enough to earn his spot on the 53.
