The Green Bay Packers selected 11 players in the 2021 NFL Draft, adding much-needed depth to their roster in places that needed it the most. Handling the draft as well as they did, while also mitigating the ongoing Aaron Rodgers situation made for a tough weekend for GM Brian Gutekunst, but this team seems to (hopefully) be on its way towards mending fences for their star QB.

Below is what the roster current looks like on the offensive side of the ball after the draft, factoring in draftees and undrafted signings at the conclusion of the draft – while much too early to be thinking about what this team will look like, it never hurts to start early.

The obvious issues between Rodgers and the team certainly could come to a head with his departure, or they could be mended with an offering of an olive branch in the form of a contract extension. Regardless of what happens this offseason, GB will be bringing in at least one more QB into camp.

If Rodgers ends up being shipped out, then the development of Jordan Love takes center stage and make having a proven backup QB even more important – if this is what transpires, then bringing in Blake Bortles or another proven vet would help take pressure off of Love in his firsts season leading this team.

Even with the departure of Jamaal Williams this offseason, the RB core looks to be solid yet again. With Aaron Jones back in the fold and AJ Dillon ready to take on a larger role in his second season, this team’s rushing attack will yet again need to be a strong part of Matt LaFleur’s offense.

Rookie Kylin Hill was taken late in this year’s draft and could eventually become the RB3 on this team, but Memphis’ Patrick Taylor, who has been an unheralded player for this team in camps and workouts, has the skills that could push him into that role. Carrying four RBs into every game may not be a luxury the Packers would have, but the four mentioned backs certainly could be members of the roster moving forward.

With the impact that tight ends have in a LaFleur offense, the seven-man TE room seems to be at its fullest capacity going into camp. Robert Tonyan will lead this group again, with ol’ vet Marcedes Lewis helping lead the way in what could be his final season.

Josiah Deguara will be coming off an ACL tear and looks to be filling that H-back role for LaFleur, with the hope that Jace Sternberger can be a breakout option and pair nicely with Tonyan to form a solid 1-2 punch.

While it is not a first-round option, Green Bay did well to grab Clemson’s Amari Rodgers to be a solid slot weapon, as well as potentially fill the role of returner.

Davante Adams returns as the leader of this unit, with Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Allen Lazard looking to continue to make improvements from last season. After opting out last year, Devin Funchess will be looking to be a nice addition sure-handed vertical threat.

With an Adams extension potentially in limbo due to the situation involving Aaron Rodgers, the hope is that Adams will want to remain in GB and sign a big-money deal to do so.

Having selected three offensive linemen in the second consecutive draft, Green Bay understands the need to always have depth pieces spread across their OL. Having used a second rounder on likely rookie starter Josh Myers was a great start, and hopefully will continue the pipeline from Ohio State to starting Packers’ centers.

The return of David Bakhtiari from his ACL tear will have this unit in flux for a bit, but with Elgton Jenkins’ versatility and the emergence of Jon Runyan Jr. in his rookie season, the future of this line is bright. A likely, full-health starting lineup of Bakhtiari-Jenkins-Myers-Lucas Patrick-Billy Turner, with Runyan Jr. and others as depth, certainly would help keep this unit ranked as one of the league’s best.
