The Packers defense through 3 games is not the same defense we’ve seen in recent years.

While some of the defensive stats can be alarming, there is a couple stats that stand out.

The sacks seem to be going up this year.

At the same time though, the pressure seems to be getting to opposing Quarterbacks.

But the other stat that stands out the most is the turnovers and interceptions stat.

Through 3 games the Packers have the same amount of interceptions as they did all last year.

Talk about a turnaround from last year!

The Hire

When Matt LeFleur hired Jeff Hafley earlier this year, this is what LeFluer was looking for.

He wanted a defense that can create turnovers and not be the same ordinary 3-4 defense we saw every year.

Through three games we’ve seen more turnovers and pressure on the QB.

We’ve seen the secondary be more confident as the weeks go on.

We’ve also seen Hafley bring unique blitzes and formations on defense as well.

Through three games

Through three games the Packers defense has gotten better every week.

Beginning in week one, the Packers defense did allow a lot of yards against the Eagles.

But that was expected as the first team defense didn’t have too much time on the field together.

Still they created turnovers and sacked Jalen Hurts multiple times

In week 2 against the Colts, the Packers defense continued to do what they did.

Anthony Richardson thew multiple turnovers and faced pressure all day.

Then in week three the defense dominated in a victory against the Titans.

Against the Titans the defense sacked Levis 8 times all while creating 3 turnovers.

The highlight was a Jaire Alexander pick six early in the first quarter.

Combine that with yet another interception Xavier McKinney, his 3rd in 3 games with the Packers.

This isn’t the same old defense

In conclusion, this Packers Defense isn’t the same defense that was have seen in recent years.

This defense is for real.

Its the type of defense that you can rely on if your star QB is out for a few games.

It’s the type of defense that gets you off your feet hopeful that they’ll create a turnover or a sack.

Jeff Hafley and his staff have done a tremendous job with the Packers defense.

Once the Packers offense is back rolling with Jordan Love, this team can be dangerous.

Just remember there is only one or two stat that matters, turnovers and sacks.
