For the first time in several seasons, the Green Bay Packers were incredibly aggressive in free agency. Brian Gutekunst added pillars to the organization in Xavier McKinney and Josh Jacobs. McKinney and Jacobs became leaders on day one, a crucial part in a free agent signing becoming a success.

There is money to spend this free agency. Now the question is, will the Packers acquire another staple franchise player for years to come? The missing piece might be a very familiar face to several people currently with the Packers.

Maxx Crosby is an absolute force to be reckoned with. One of the most dominant pass rushers in the league, you can feel his presence on your screen. He is a player who gives one-hundred percent effort every single snap.

Crosby is playing for the Las Vegas Raiders, and a trade for the Packers makes perfect sense. The pass rush is the unit most in need of bolstering. Crosby provides the role of the ultimate dominator the Packers need to contend for a Super Bowl.

Raiders Connections: Maxx Crosby has Plenty of Reasons to land in Green Bay

In recent years, the Packers have had several ties to the Raiders, making Crosby a worthwhile target to pursue. The Packers have Rich Bisaccia as an Assistant Head Coach/Special Teams Coordinator. Bisaccia previously served as the Interim Head Coach of the Raiders.

Bisaccia worked with Keisan Nixon and was a big reason why the Packers added him. Nixon has bled green and gold since the second he walked through the door. Always willing to do whatever is asked of him, with a strong hunger to be the best player he can be.

Then there came the addition of Josh Jacobs. Jacobs came off an All-Pro season in 2022 to have his 2023 season hindered by poor offensive scheme and line play. However, Jacobs went right back to his 2022 form. Proving the Packers made the right decision to move on from Aaron Jones.

Now, the next player that can come from the Raiders is Crosby. There are several reasons he fits right in with the culture of Green Bay and it’s devoted fanbase. He represents everything the Packers pride themselves on.

The fit of Crosby is not just a fit as one of the best defensive players in the league. He purely fits what the Packers look for in players, a leader who will do their job and make the people around them better.

Crosby would automatically make the Packers an even more intriguing team in 2025 when it comes to competing for a title. He might just be the massive missing piece this team needs to become the top team in the league.
