Jordan Morgan had a less than stellar rookie season.
In fact Morgan barley played in 2024.
Morgan only made one start for the Packers and appeared in 6 games for the Packers, playing 186 snaps.
The 2024 first round pick struggled with shoulder injuries throughout the season.
He first injured his shoulder during training camp in August costing him a chance to win the starting right guard job.
Morgan then injured his shoulder a second time in Week 2 against the Colts and missed the next three games.
After injuring his shoulder a third time in November, the Packers put Morgan on injured reserve, ending his rookie season.
Despite the injuries, Morgan looks to rebound in 2025 and will have a chance to win a job on the offensive line.
The question is, where on the offensive line will Jordan Morgan play?
Right Guard

Although Morgan was drafted as a Offensive Tackle, he played the majority of last year at guard.
Because Morgan doesn’t the prototypical size for a offensive tackle, most viewed him as a guard.
The Packers though believe he has the strength and versatility to play both positions.
But with the signing of free agent Aaron Banks, the Packers have at least one guard position filled.
Elgton Jenkins will most likely move over to center to replace Josh Myers.
That leaves the right guard position.
Morgan alternated with Sean Rhyan during the season last year at that spot.
While out on the field Morgan allowed seven total pressures and committed one penalty.
He’ll have to beat out Rhyan, who beat out Morgan for the starting right guard job last year.
Morgan may move to guard in the future as Rhyan is on the final year of his rookie contract.
Left Tackle
This is the most likely scenario for Morgan.
Last week, during the NFL owners meeting, both Brian Gutekunst and Matt LeFleur said that Morgan will have a shot at the left tackle position.

LeFleur said he is excited about the competition between Morgan and incumbent Rasheed Walker.
“It’s going to be a great competition.”
LaFleur went on to say (Morgan) and ‘Sheed are going to battle it out and hopefully push each other to be that much better”.
Gutekunst voiced the same excitement for Morgan hoping he can make that year 2 jump.
Morgan played tackle the last two years in college at Arizona.
He played over 2,000 career snaps at left tackle and gave up only 3 sacks and 30 pressures while playing tackle.
But it will be hard to unseat Walker who has played left tackle for the Packers since 2023 and has proven he can protect Jordan Love’s blindside.
Walker allowed only three sacks, four quarterback hits and 37 total pressures last year.
Needless to say this will be a battle to watch in Training camp.
Conclusion
There is a reason why the Packers drafted Jordan Morgan.
Morgan is everything the Packers want in an offensive lineman.
The versatility and size was too much for the Packers to pass up last year in the draft.
Although his rookie season was riddled with injuries, the Packers hope Morgan can rebound for a better year two.
Morgan will have a chance to make an impact this year with his versatility on the line.
