As the Pro Football Hall of Fame looks to find their 2020 class, their are several prominent former members of the Green Bay Packers on their preliminary list.
Former Packers who are eligible and are on the list are Defensive backs LeRoy Butler and Nick Collins, receiver Donald Driver and kicker Ryan Longwell.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame will be celebrating the NFL’s Centennial Season with a special 20-member class in 2020. This class will include only five modern-era nominees, ten senior nominees, two coaches and three contributors to the game.
So, how does it work? Fans can cast their vote to help whittled down the list to 25 semi-finalists in November. Then the list of of 25 will be narrowed down to 15 finalists in January. From that list of 15 a class of 5 would be chosen for enshrinement in August 2020. The final votes are cast the day before the Super Bowl by the Pro Football Hall of Fame selection committee.
This is LeRoy Butler’s first time being on this list. He previously made it to the semifinalist list.
