On a short week against a very good Lions defense, this Packers coaching staff looked like they threw the gameplan together like a high school student procrastinating that big paper. The offense didn’t even attempt to run the ball until their 3rd series of the game. That’s not a winning gameplan with a HOF QB, much less with Love.

It didn’t get much better from there. The defense was outmatched and once again, had no answer for the run game. Since the loss to the Lions, Joe Barry has admitted that he can’t just sit in a nickel and hope for the best when his defense is getting bulldozed… I would tend to agree. In fact, I learned that playing Madden when I was 12.

Hopefully the DC quickly learns how to strategize against different opposing offenses, but that’s a big hope. We might be better off hoping Matt LaFleur finds a new DC after this season.

So what’s the silver lining? This team is young and talented. We should see the talent grow every week despite the gameplan. The Raiders should be a good opportunity to clean things up and get back on track.
