The Green Bay Packers’ 20–17 loss to the Detroit Lions gets the full Cheesehead Radio treatment in “Packers Fall to Lions: Plenty of Blame, Not Enough Points.” In episode #396, C.D. Angeli tackles controversial officiating, Jordan Love’s offense, Trey Smack’s missed field goals, Josh Jacobs’ return and the Thursday Night Football matchup against the Carolina Panthers. There’s plenty to complain about. Unfortunately, complaints still count for zero points.

Flying solo this week, C.D. makes the uncomfortable distinction: Green Bay could have survived its own mistakes. It could have survived questionable officiating. Surviving both apparently required a package this team hasn’t purchased.

The Packers went just 1-for-4 in the red zone, dropped opportunities and left another winnable game behind. We revisit the roughing-the-passer calls, the intentional-grounding controversy and an NFL social media operation apparently delighted to promote the kind of celebration that gets other players an invoice. Consistency would be lovely. Catching the football would also help.

At 4–3 and last in the NFC North, Green Bay faces an increasingly uncomfortable division race. Can Jacobs find room behind a shuffled offensive line? Can Love, Christian Watson and Matthew Golden exploit Carolina’s depleted secondary? And can the Packers finish drives before another field-goal attempt becomes a group therapy session?

Then come three Hot Pockets: Jersey Al Bracco demands receivers fight for catches instead of flags; C.D. takes aim at engagement farmers turning sports fandom into a penny collection scheme; and Kelly Hodgson calls for an evidence-based examination of NFL officiating and gambling relationships—receipts required, conspiracy shortcuts rejected.

Plus, all three hosts submit their Packers–Panthers predictions. Al and Kelly sent their rants ahead. C.D. gets custody of the microphone and the remaining patience.
