The Green Bay Packers are wrapping up training camp with some lingering uncertainty. The injury bug has once again found it’s way through the Packers locker room, and outside of a few bright spots, it has been a less than inspiring start to 2025. The Packers will lock up with the Seahawks to close out the Pre Season this Saturday, August 23rd, at 3:00 PM CT. As we transition to the regular season, these are the 3 offensive pillars that I believe Jordan Love needs on the field for success.
1. Green Bay Packers Workhorse, aka RB Josh Jacobs

Josh Jacobs made his presence known early and often after arriving in Green Bay just a year ago. The fact that it seems weird to think of him as only a year 2 starter with the squad speaks volumes to his leadership and an overall perfect fit for the culture at 1285 Lombardi Avenue.
His punishing north-south run style along with his versatility as an out of the backfield receiving option, as well as his shut down pass protection, make all of us a little less sad to have said good bye to Aaron Jones.
In 2024 Jacbos rushed for 1,329 yards averaging 4.4 yards a carry. He put up a career high 15 touchdowns (tied for 5th among RB’s in the NFL) and also had 342 receiving yards with 1 receiving TD. He was also selected for his 3rd Pro Bowl and had over 20 touches per game in half of the games he played. He comes into 2025 ranked 33rd in the NFL Top 100 list. Take a listen to his peers discussing his impact on the field.

Jacobs is an absolute beast and fully capable of being that 3 down workorse. Talking to Kay Adams on the Up & Adams Show, Josh said that 33 is too high and he is looking to bring that number lower this year. He has become the north star outside of Joran Love for this offense and is essential to the Packers 2025 season.
2. Green Bay Packers 1st Round Pick, WR Matthew Golden

Unless you’ve been living under a rock this shouldn’t surprise too many folks. Even as a wet behind the ears rookie, this 1st Round stud has done nothing but turn heads and throw up highlights since landing in Green Bay.
Here’s a little college highlight reel showcasing why Gutey and company broke the 23 year streak:
All throughout training camp I’ve read the posts talking about Golden’s route running, his work ethic, his speed, and his sure hands. Special Teams Coordinator Rich Bisaccia has already taken to calling him “Bullet” after “Bullet” Bob Hayes, the only man to ever win Olympic gold and a Super Bowl. The tweet below pretty much echoes and sums up every report I hear about him
Here’s a highlight that I feel underlines Golden’s biggest upside for this squad. I will continue to take heat saying that Christain Watson is NOT WR #1. Golden’s 4.29 40-yard speed giving him the ability to take the top off a defense with reliable hands is what we’ve all been clamoring for since the departure of Davante Adams. Golden, in my opinion, will be the Packers WR #1 very early on in the season.
His mentals are also in the right space and I would just like to share the video below for those who may not have seen it yet.
Matthew Golden staying healthy and available is crucial to the 2025 season, and I believe his efforts on an off the field make him a pillar of success for the Green Bay Packers.
3. TE Tucker Kraft “YAC & Cheese”

Tucker Kraft is entering year 3 with the Green Bay Packers and his stock only continues to rise. He has quickly taken the helm as TE #1 for the Packers and man, I was never so happy to be so wrong 2 years ago.
Kraft earned himself a Pro Bowl alternate nod last year after racking up 50 receptions for 707 yards, averaging an amazing 14.1 yards per catch. He earned that “YAC & Cheese” nickname after putting up 456 yards AFTER the catch and forced 15 missed tackles (tied for highest among NFL Tight Ends). He came in 2nd for receptions for the Packers squad last year behind Jayden Reed.

Tucker Kraft | 2024 Highlights
The team has iterated on multiple occassions that Kraft will be a integral part of the passing game in 2025, and I can’t wait to see what LaFleur draws up for him.
Working Together To Achieve Greatness

The 3 of these dynamic players coming together and playing in concert will make the man above’s job infinitey easier this season.
Josh Jacobs run game will set the tone and open up play actions while wearing own opposing defensive lines. Opposing seconaries will also have to account for Golden’s speed over the top leaving the middle of the field open for Kraft to YAC it up.
I still have high hopes for others like Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Luke Musgrave, Emanuel Wilson, and others. However, as long as Josh Jacobs, Matthew Golden, and Tucker Kraft are suited up and available for Jordan to divy the ball to, I believe the Packers will have their pillars of success reinforcing the foundation of the house that Curly built.
