The Packers could not have started the 2025 season off any better. Not only are they 2-0, but their two wins are over some of the best in the NFC from last season. The defense has been dominant, and the offense has put up 27 points in back to back weeks. While the words “Super Bowl” have been thrown around too much for my liking, its impossible to deny how great the Packers have looked.

Which brings us to week three against the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland is 0-2. They lost to the Bengals in a game they probably should’ve won. They hung with the Ravens for three quarters before the wheels came completely off. The takeaway here is that this early in the season Cleveland is giving it all it has even if the talent level isn’t there.

Do I think that Cleveland has a realistic shot to win this game? No. But if we’ve learned anything after years of football is that anybody can win at any time. What does Green Bay need to do to keep their strong start to the season going?

If there was one aspect of the team to nitpick after two dominant performances, it would be the run game. It hasn’t been bad, but it definitely hasn’t lived up to the standards from last year. Meanwhile, the thing Cleveland has been best at through two games is run defense. In back to back weeks they held Chase Brown to 43 yards, and Derrick Henry to 23 yards. Don’t play into Cleveland’s strengths, open the game throwing, and throwing a lot.

The Packers have the guy. Let him go out there and show it.

Stop Holding The Dog Back

Micah Parsons is done being on a snap count. After the win against the Commanders Thursday night Parsons emphatically told reporters he was sick of being held back. Even in limited action Parsons has had a massive impact on the defense:

Parsons is doing this as a part time player. Coming off a long week of rest, I expect the Packers to really let him loose against an offensive line that has been anything but solid. Additionally no quarterback has been asked to throw the ball more than Joe Flacco. This feels like the Parsons breakout game that catapults him to the front of the list for DPOY.

Packers Will Look For Golden to Shine

You’d be hard-pressed to find a draft pick that excited the fanbase more than Matthew Golden. The combination of position, round and location all came together to make Golden an incredibly popular pick right from the jump. Then to make the hype even larger he was by all accounts a start in practices and training camp.

If you were to just look at his stat lines from the first two games you’d come away thinking it was all for nothing. But if you look a little closer you can see that the breakout is coming. Last week he and Love missed on two connections that both would have likely been long touchdowns. It isn’t just those two plays though, through the first two games no receiver has been open more than Golden

With Jayden Reed now out, Golden should see even more opportunities in the next few games. Look for him and Love to get their timing sorted out and then watch out.

Final Prediction

While I do worry a little bit about a potential come down, this Packers team is simply too good right now. Look for Cleveland to make a valiant effort, but ultimately the Packers run away with this game in the second half
